    Hi everyone,

Im using my Korg Nano kontrol2 controller with traktor as its the only useful peice of equipment i have at the moment.

I'm trying to use one of my encoders to control the "key adjust' parameter, but when i set it up, the key adjuster onscreen will behave really erratically.

I've had this problem in Ableton Live 8 and I fixed it by selecting a different encoder mode. The problem I'm having in Traktor is that no combination of encoder modes will work. I fixed this problem in ABleton but I cant seen to fix it in Traktor and its really annoiyng because I cant use half of the controls properly.

Someone please enlighten me on how I can fix this

    Tim

    Check out Korgs Kontrol Editor.
You might be able to change the necessary encoder properties there.

So did you also try to set the controller type to Fader/Knob instead of 'Encoder'?
That's how I get the encoders working on the NanoKontrol 1.

Otherwise check out some mappings for the Nanokontrol 2. You might find some hints there.

    Hey there!
Old topic but i have almost the same problem…
I've mapped the Nanokontrol 2 with Traktor 2, all work fine except my knobs on the Korg.
I would like to use them to control Fx's on traktor. I've mapped all functions on the knobs, Encoder mode/Relative. When values goes up it's ok, but when values goes down, they goes down directly to 0… :/
Is someone have an idea? :)

    Cheers,
    Julien

Have you already tried using [Fader/Knob] instead of [Encoder]?: https://www.native-instruments.com/...how-to-use-the-controller-manager-in-traktor/

Otherwise can you post more info (or maybe a screenshot) of how your settings of the mapping for one knob looks like?

    ^^This. They're knobs, not encoders.

    Thanks for your reply guys!
When i'm using Knob/Fader, values goes from 0 to max when i turn my Knobs.
As they said on the manual: Encoder function is for digital value with a minimum and a maximum..

Here is my settings on traktor

I had the same problem but found the following fix in the instructions accompanying the Traktor setup file available on Korg's website:
    https://www.korg.com/us/products/computergear/nanokontrol_studio/.

The solution is to put the Korg nanoKONTROL Studio into "Assignable" mode via one of these two methods:
    1. hold down "Scene" + "Cycle", then turn the unit on - the button lights will blink several times
    2. open KORG KONTROL Editor, then choose: Global > Controller Mode > Assignable > Write
This fixes the encoder behaviour. With the following settings, they don't snap back to zero anymore:
    • Device Mapping: Ch01.CC.013 (leftmost encoder)
    • Control: High Adjust
    • Type of Controller: Fader / Knob
    • Interaction Mode: Direct
