After the Maschine software told me out of nowwhere I should register my software because Native Access was not up to date(what?) I logged in and found that there are a lot of Updates out standing which is because if it runs I try to keep it at the current version. so I though "ok might be time to update those things" (Komplete Kontrol, Maschine 2/Libary and Reaktor).

As it turns out Native Acces only uninstalled the software and then got stuck in some kind of loop saying "installing".
As of now I have been trying to install Maschine 2 for the past 3 hours, with no progress.

I tried uninstalling Native access and reinstalling it (as admin) start it up (as admin) and trying to install one programm so far (Maschine2) to no avail.

Help please, does anybody know of a way to fix this?

    Thanks in advance

I am also having a similar problem. I had an update for Komplete Kontrol 2.2 and Maschine Essentials, both got stuck in a loop. I am also running as admin - it seems to get stuck on "installing" - I also tried uninstalling Native Access and reinstalling as admin and it is still the same. My problem is that it seems to have uninstalled both and now I am without either program and I can't install them!!!
The files are downloaded to my computer but when Native Access unzips and installs there appears to be a problem. My computer is up to date with all updates, as is all my other software.
My next step is to reset my router and try all over again. I will also turn off my antivirus to see if this helps.
    Any ideas anybody??
    Thanks for any help.

    UPDATE:
So it seems it was either a problem with Native Access or my antivirus. I turned off my antivirus and manually installed the originally downloaded zip file and everything worked a treat!!

It's not broken. If this was a specific flaw in the software then it shouldn't work for anyone. I'm on Windows 10 pro myself and never had any issues with installing and upgrading. (I had an issue with installing but that was caused by Windows 10 not being able to mount ISO images due to a flakey driver).

How much free space do you have available? On both your system drive (C) as well as the drive you're installing to? My assumption (= I'm obviousy not sure) is that this might have something to do with your problems.

Don't mess with the firewall because that won't have any impact, anti virus can cause issues depending on which one you use.

By removing it. I was used to having software like cdmagic (or something) installed which allowed me to create ISO images as well as mounting those. However that heavily interfered with windows 10 which can mount images on its own.

So I ended up removing everything from the apps list which had something to do with cdroms. I rebooted and voila..

Which is another tip: leave native access running until it gives you an actual error message. It took mine 5 or so minutes but eventually it showed an error about not being able to mount images. So leave it running for at least 10min or so.

See... If the internet connection is slow you'd also experience the impression of it being stalled while in fact it would be running but very slow.

    Hope this can help.

Ahh Win 10 so much frustrating after win7.I was literally shocked when I shifted to 10 I couldn't believe that I can't even start working on music and It's all about Music and we love it and live for it so. don't stop, don't surrender just keep fighting for your live and mestake is made by developers because they running to support new os with even more problems, tidies ones instead to support us with stable products.Couple of mounts I saw Access like revolution an online all in one solution than this stared to happen, situation now with instaling through wizard is not solution for everyone. I just hope that won't be a loosening license error but even than it's all about Music and I will make it on the phone if come to that, it's sound like childishly idea but it's stable and less stresfull so we just have to be precise on what we want so far everyone is complain and new stupid problems jumping just to
to get us out of the way so if more problems occured I will shift towards the most stable platform software and hardware without of sorrow and sadness with no remorse cos I believe it actually still believe in NI and they can slow down with all those updates and to start making big leaps I therms on new features and of course with more stable products, They need to support maschine 3 for win 7 just to show some love to most dedicated costumer ✨ so far Maschine mk3 is my super combo with amazeing Nektar P1 and lap top with win 7 definitely ,even without updateing I'm happy just can't bother with already big force on everyone to jump to win 10 I did it and I had to write that I won't go back to it until you all write that you can install it without any problems I mena it's 2020. It should be better not thy other way

After many days and countless restarts - I can now report that All my updates (via NA) have completed . Worth mentioning is that none of the solutions mentioned here and on my thread did anything to fix the problem. NI support recommended that I install the software/updates via direct links and not via the NA application - After 4-5 days of failed updates and attempts , I was ready to pack it all up and try one last time with Support's suggestion. Never got the opportunity to try their fix as NA finally did finish all updates/installs on its own (albeit many days and restarts later).....

Installation from Native Access started failing after win 10 updates like described.

As the zip files containing the installer are dumped into "Downloads" folder I tried to run them manually (as administrator) and watched processes in task manager. It was still stuck and seems like the drivers were not getting installed properly.

I suspect some security enforcement in latest win 10 updates that conflict with AV settings and Windows Installer policies.

    - I used NI Uninstall RegTool_64bit to remove failing softwares from the registry (Mashine 2 in my case, no need the for other)
    - I totally disabled my antivirus (BitDefender Shield, Safe Files, Ransomware Remediation, ... )
    - Killed anything stating with NI* or that looked like Native software in task manager + clean up dormant msiexec.exe I could see. (probably optional)

Installed was successful after the steps described above.

Let me know if it helps.

In the mean time I also encountered this problem elsewhere (= N.A. being unable to access images) and this time there was no virtual CD software involved.

As it turns out Windows 10 requires an association between the .ISO file extension (or file type) with the native file explorer ("explorer.exe") before it will be able to mount images on its own. Basically right click on an iso file, use "open with..." and then select the standard Windows file explorer to associate it. After that things will be back to normal.

I'm a windows 10 user.... I tried installing NA plenty of times and its stuck on the installation screen, saying it looking for updates. I see that I'm not the only one with this issue, so why hasn't NA fixed this yet? obviously when you go to download the program it says choose your OS and it clearly says Win 10 "download"... didn't know that meant "sort of works"!!! I uploaded an image to this message. Can someone from NA please reach out and help me resolve this!!!??????

    Hi Lance
Whenever this happens to me now, I disable antivirus and firewall, reset network and it seems to do the job. Worked for me last week anyway.
    Good luck

Here's the solution to this problem that worked for me

When installing other software on my W10 Home machine the following error occurred from time to time: "Another Installation In Progress Please Complete Installation Before Continuing". I had to go to task manager and kill the Windows Installer process and the installation would go with no errors next time.

I tried to do the same after seeing that NA VST plugins installation failed and it worked for me. The steps were:

    1. Opened Task Manager and killed Windows Installer process
    2. Killed NA app process (it wouldn't close form the X because "installation was in progress")
    3. Search for any other NI installations going on and kill those processes too.
    4. Open NA and restart installing the plugins.

Finally, I think this is a Win 10 problem not an NA problem
    Hope this helps.

2021 still the same issue, Native Access stuck on download and installing, specially in big sample libraries. All other manager apps from Softube, PA, UVI, etc, work perfect. Very bad from NI...
