    Hi everyone,

So when I got the email for the 50% off sale yesterday, I jumped at the chance to upgrade my K10U and went all out for the K12 U Collector’s Edition.

I purachsed the HDD version and it arrived today.

Everything went fine with the Native Access update and the registration of my new K12U CE serial. The HDD was recognised, and everything was installing from it....except Native Access started to get stuck on random installations with the blue bar chasing back and forth, rather than giving me the green ‘installed’ notification.

To begin with, I panicked that my KU12 HDD was faulty and freezing, but I noticed that it only happened when the light on the HDD had stopped blinking (presumably because the content was no longer being accessed or had finished being installed).

To check this, I navigated to where the libraries should have installed, and sure enough, the folders showed the exact same size as the instruments do in N.A, so I forced N.A to close (using task manager) and loaded Cubase, and the products that ‘hung’ were there and working.

When I went back to N.A, and reloaded it, the products that ‘got stuck’ now showed in the ‘installed’ section instead.

To test for sure that it was the N.A software and not my KU12 HDD, I download Analog Dreams through N.A without the HDD plugged in, and sure enough it hung for almost an hour (at which point I closed N.A and checked Cubase...Analog Dreams was there and working).

Long story short: I think the lastest version of Native Access has installation issues....unless it’s just me.

Is anyone else having this problem with the N.A software?

If it helps, I’m on Windows 7, but that has never been a problem previously..

Usually server gets overloaded right after sales, and best bet is to try later. Also, install items one at a time.

    Hi
Im having the same issue on Win 7. Previously all worked fine but now the file gets downloaded inside NA but just never completes the install. It mainly seems to affect extra sound content not the actual programs. Im sure it must be a bug in the recent versions of NA.Would love someone from NI to chime in here ive followed all the help articles but they offer no solutions
Id much prefer an ISO i can install myself as i think its NA that is hanging

    Hi,
I'm having the same issue too and I'm on Win 7. As "Lifer" says, it mainly seems to affect extra sound content.

I'm currently installing everything right now and I have gone through haft of the content.

What I do is to install one by one. When it has downloaded it starts to install but never finishing it. What I do is that I wait until my hard drive doesn't give out any sound (no ssd here). After that I go to the 'Windows Task Manager' and close the 'Native Access' from there. When I reopen 'Native Access' again a window shows up at the bottom and says in green text, "blah blah... installation succeeded". And then I continue with the next one and if it happens again I redo the process.

Hope this will get you through. Or wait for a better solution if you are unsure.

Same problem here, trying to install the maschine drum selection 69mb on m.2 nvme drives and its been doing this for hours. Force close, delete iso, restart and same thing. I dont beleive this is a server to busy issue since the download gets completed. Its the install which is failing to complete. Trying to get support

I upgraded from Komplete 7 to Komplete 12.
Komplete 7 is still installed on a 32Bit Win XP machine I don´t use anymore since I moved.

Have set up a Win 7 Pro 64Bit machine mainly for audio work,- Intel i7 4790K, 16GB RAM, Samsung Pro 860 (System), Samsung EVO 850 (Data), Samsung EVO Plus 970 (Samples) and a WD SATA600 Velocy Raptor HDD for recording.
Fast enough,- at least for me ...
Yesterday I sucessfully installed NI Native Access, connected the NI 12 Komplete USB drive to a USB3 port and launched NI Komplete 12 installer.
Before I pre-selected different drives/locations for downloads, program-, plugins- and contend installation.
So far so good,- installation as also downloads started and I can see a lot of downloaded zip files, disc image files and installers in my specified download folder and there are FM8, Absynth 5, Battery 4 and Guitar Rig 5 installed incl. their related desctop icons,- but that´s it.

In Native Access window, I see a ton of products to be installed,- but it says "Not installed: 73" since yesterday afternoon while I watch the blue line moving back and forth but no progress.
Unfortunately and in addition, I´m unable to stop the task or close the application to start all new.
When I click the [X] in the right upper corner, I immediatedly get the red iconed message "Cannot close right now. Please wait until all installations are finished" ...
Log-Out is also not possible !
AND,- I´m unable undocking NI Komplete12 USB-drive because it´s in use.
Means, I cannot use the machine for other tasks or shut it down, it still runs 24 hrs since 2 days because of that issue.

I don´t see any download activities on my router anymore, don´t see relevant processor activity in task manager.

When I open the already installed devices mentioned above in standalone mode,- I get the message "Run Demo Mode / Buy "devicename" / or Activate device" for each device and all the time repeatedly.
When I click "activate" it says "Service Center not installed" and devices still run, receive MIDI and make sound,- in demo mode I guess, but no message it really does.

    So, what to do ?
I opened a support ticket,- but it will need time which I don´t have.
It´s insane behaviour and a mess NI discontinued phone support.
I don´t see any phone number I can call in Berlin/germany anymore ...

    Any help/ idea ?

    thx

    Kay

It seems, when using the "install all" option, it hangs when trying to install .iso files while downloading other stuff ´cause files on the K12 USB(3) drive aren´t the latest.

When I install all (what´s in the bundle) separately,- it works,- except it´s a .iso,- which needs ages ...
It will be installed,- once being able shutting down Native Access and savely removing the NI K12 drive, restart computer and launch Native Access again,- but hey,- that´s truly a nitemare and waste of time.
There´s some kind of ISO buster tool on the K12 drive (being connected to USB3 here),- but it seems to be super slow though.

I tried selecting the smalest files 1st for installation,- but also a 11MB file hangs downloading, leaving the rest of a few MB/ 4 sec downloadtime because the former downloaded .iso cycles in it´s installation process.

To me it seems, downloads stop during other items installation process.

Pkease correct me if I´m wrong.

    Kay

I had the same issue while trying to install on a NAS-DevicInstallation did not finish... Solution for me: aborted all Downloads, changed all locations to a local drive and everything worked fine (so it took lots of time to complete)...

I have paid hundreds of pounds for the Komplete Ultimate 12 bundle. I have had it for 2 years, and never have I had all VSTS installed properly. There is always one VSTs that seems to need repairing and will not open correctly.

Now, most of my VSTs just get stuck on the installation loop, where the blue bar just goes back and forth. I have seen multiple people having the same issue and nothing is being done about it.

I have a ton of unfinished projects file that I cannot access because they were made using native instruments VSTs that will not load which cause my D.A.W to freeze and crash every time because the VSTs ain't actually installed properly.

This product was a waste of time and I want my money back.
