    Hi everyone and NI experts!
Today I installed some NI products via Native Access to our laptop.
When I logged in into native access, and closed the program, the next time I ran native access i was automatically logged in.
When I logged out from native access and the next time I tried to log in, the login window contained my email, but the password field was empty.
My question: Is it possible that the laptop contains my native access login password is some forms, or I don't have to fear from that?
My experience I wrote above is if I log out from native access, next time I have to fill the password agan, so it seems to be safe.
However I mainly use my PC and not this laptop, so just wanna know whether that stores the login data or not.

I'm not a NI programmer myself so my guess is obviously just as good as yours but I sincerely doubt that it would actually store your password somewhere. I think it's more likely that the software simply remembers the authorized session and simply continues that one (don't forget that N.A. connects to the NI server(s) in order to verify which products are available for your account).

Of course, one way to find out ;)

Windows Edge will store your emails and passwords automatically but can be changed in Edge settings.

So I conducted a small experiment.. I disconnected my PC, then tried to fire up Native Access and guess what happened next:

As you can see it doesn't show any logon screen at all, but instead gives an error and that's all there is to it. In order words: N.A. needs a working Internet connection to function which also makes it reasonable to conclude that you're not logging onto the N.A. program itself, instead you're authorizing yourself with the N.I. server.

Making me come to the conclusion that it's not so much N.A. which is remembering your password, but it's the N.I. server which remembers your active session, thus allows you to re-connect without authorizing again.

Every browser provides that function these days but this is about Native Access, and N.A. doesn't use any browser features.
