Native Access is not working on my Pc with windows 10. Every time I click on the program it is not showing up on my screen. This sucks bad. I have just paid for Komplete 11 and have clients ready to buy beats. I can't even cook anything up because this Software sucks. Anybody have any solutions on how to get this software working.

This is crazy. They have poor customer service. I think I'm going to trade my maschine in for a mpc. If I pay my money for something I expect to get it without hassle. I make music and sell tracks. They ******* with my money. When you **** with my money I can no longer do business with you.

It's mainly an issue with Windows 10 which keeps updating stuff and also messing with stuff ... much like Mac OS X (MacOS) has been messing with stuff ... unless you "freeze" your machine with everything working, any update may break stuff, hence good idea to learn to clone working states before updates. In my case, and may not impact you -- the issue I had was on the Win10 machine which had been upgraded from Windows 7 to Windows 10 during the free period, and then updated to the Fall Creator Update -- and then crap happened. Like the Native Access would just crash on launch, standlone apps would not launch, and same issue with certain Arturia apps (funny that the ancient E-MU software still worked ... ) -- and I suspect "anything" that uses kernel level streaming or anything which requires "ownership" permissions might cause problems with the Windows Creator Update and NI.

On one machine (Core i5) where I had all the issues - the *only* solution was to do a clean install of Windows 10 on NEW hard drive, without the OLD recovery partitions and hidden partitions; and so the recovery stuff was all ONLY Windows 10 version; and that solved all my weird ass voodoo crap.

Also out of paranoia, I found installing NA as admin, and setting to run as admin, and also logged into Windows as my Windows Store (Microsoft) account vs local account -- seemed to be the trick. I just updated to the Spring update, updated NA, Arturia, Reason 10, Akai VIP, and some other stuff -- and it all works.

But it does work -- and I paid for everything, too. Sadly, one needs to be a technical guru these days to keep Windows or MacOS fully functional with all the music tech.

Hope that helps somebody on here pulling out their hair. It *is* a funked up issue with Windows!

Could it also be a problem with anti-virus software preventing it from opening? I have Windows Defender and Malwarebytes running on my Windows 10. I've done all the updates for Windows 10 and never had a problem opening Native Access.

Might be, more likely Symantec or Avast or one of those. Malwarebytes (I use Premium version on my daily workstation here) is good in popping up a notice if it does block some outbound thing. And t he Windows Defender doesn't block NA, unless perhaps if you have "warez" on your box trying to be accessed via NA, and then outbound to some "black hat barn" on the web. I'm guessing some weird mix of things does seem to be causing a lot of folks problems ... the clean install was my only fix to finally fix the gremlins.

Downloaded 1.6 version now it opens but crashes every time it tries to load. Why don't they just provide a direct download. This software is shitty.

what version number(s) is everyone using? i just bought a brand new MacBook pro (2018) and downloaded the latest native access from the website (currently v1.7.1.87 which was released on september 3) and despite anything i do, it thinks i’m launching it from a mounted disk image. it doesn’t recognize that it is properly installed in the mac’s Applications folder.

Windows 8 really sucks. Clean install of windows 10 on fresh hard drive without old recovery partitions is best option. I had to do this for one of my two windows boxes. The one i updated from windows 7 to win10 worked. The one from win8 to win10 would never work. Fresh install solved it.

turning off the windows firewall worked for me.

NI needs to rework their software so that it doesn't get blocked by the default windows firewall. Or, make it so that launching native access makes the windows firewall ask the user if they want to allow the connection like is the case with other programs such as Spotify.

    FINALLY FOUND SOLUTION!!
Exactly the same happend to me. It was imposible to install (neither uninstall) any NI Software program in my Windows 10 computer. Everytime I started an installer/uninstaller, the progress bar gets stucked when "Windows Installer." is written in the window (see PHOTO below), and starts like a loop.
I used REVO Uninstaller to quit all NI programs, and I tried to install again manually, but the problem was still there.
Finally found the solution: I opened the CMD command prompt AS ADMIN, and executed the command "sfc /scannow". After finished, I rebooted my computer, and I could install everything as usually.

I hope this works for you too!

So my issue was similar to yours where no matter what I did I’d just get stuck in a loop where I’d restart or shut down my computer to reboot. But when I would open up KONTACT FULL (not KONTAKT Player)it would ask me to activate or play demo if I clicked on activate, it would bring me back into ‘NA’ and start the run around again. After sleuthing on every forum I could find on the subject, I’ve come to the conclusion that in some Windows versions (10 being most common) the windows “real time” protector combined with Windows defender or firewall boggs down the down load process and stop some items from being downloaded. Presumably the one’s I needed to activate. So after another reboot, I ran the command prom. And used the same cmnd “sfc /scannow” rebooted again but this time I went and turned the “real time” anti-virus scanner off and went straight into ‘NA’ downloaded the Massive X and expansion for it and downloaded Komplete Kontrol, by this time the ant-virus scanner had turned itself back on but nothing slowed down and now everything is working as it should. I’m unsure that extra little step at the end will actually help anyone or not, but doing this “fact-checking-forum-lurking-what-in-the-H-E-double-F***-run-around.” Has been so exhausting that if I was still looking I’d do every tiny thing I could to fix it. So yeah, hopefully this helps someone, and if not, hopefully that person gets a kick out of how many of us are sitting on different sides of the same boat. But anyway, good luck to all you fellas and ladies, hope you get things figured out so you can create again.

It's 2021 and I guess this is still a problem. Basically, every time I start the Native Access Program nothing shows up, except the native access logo In my taskbar which disappears soon after. I tried reinstalling but nothing changed. I was recently thinking about purchasing the machine Mikro mk3 but I can't download the essentials without the Native Access Program, can I?
I would appreciate some help over here... Happy new year!:(
