    hello,

let me say straight up, that yes I realize to AUTHORIZE my NI Komplete 11 I need to be at least momentarily connected to the internet.
I accept and am OK with this.

    So:
Appx 5 months ago, there was a workaround in being able to use something like "iGetter" to download the ISO images
This work around was provided to me by NI support.
I requested at that time, that NA should allow for : download only of iso, that can also manage restart able/retry downloads of content/product.

I recently upgraded to Komplete 11.
When I tried to download the ISO, using NA I was not able to (NA auto updated itself, and consequently ..)..
    a) the earlier workaround to ONLY perform the ISO download is no longer an option, as NI have again changed how NA functions.

    b) I have again re opened a support ticket with NI, and also made a cross reference to my previous support ticket some 5 months ago.
This time the support team, forwarded to me a url link to a google-drive with access to the ISO images that my account is registered for.
However, these ISO images will not download successfully

    c) I have continued to request from NI a a method to download product that was recently purchased.

To date I have not been able to successfully download content (I have tried different computers, and from different networks)
I have made suggestions to NI that perhaps a mirror download site in Asia-Pacific region might be appropriate.

So far NI-support seem to be white-washing/time-stalling me, possibly hoping that I will give up.

So after the long explanation above, are there any other users out there that are also having these types of issues?
Has anyone had any success with other types of iso download work around ?

Should I also think about posting on any of the Facebook NI forums ?

    regards,
    /Stef

    Hello Stef,

Sorry to hear about the problems you have. Can you please point me to why exactly your Native Access downloads are failing? What error message do you get? You mentioned something about Asia-Pacific region, where exactly are you trying to perform the download from?

    Thanks!

    Stan,
    Product Manager for Native Access.

    hi Stan,
thank you for reaching out and making contact.
    I'm in Australia.
My support-ticket number is : 1362333 - if you would like to review case history in more detail.
I get no error message, after some period of download activity, the download hangs and stops on the larger iso content.

    Hey Stef,
I just checked the average downloads performance for Australian users and it seems to be at the same performance level as in any other country. So it's hard to diagnose the root-cause, this could be network issues or just poor connection. I've heard that this is a common problem in Australia.

Anyway, I think it makes sense to split your case into two topics:

    1. Offline installation/activation. Unfortunately, the internet connection is required to activate the products. It is also required to deliver the product updates. If you want to minimize the internet consumption you can use Komplete hard-drive to install the products locally and not to download gigabytes of data from the Internet. Then you'll have to have a network just to perform the activation.

    2. Download performance via Native Access. We are continuously working on performance improvements for Native Access, so I will be happy to learn more about your case. NI customer support is the best way to provide us information, so I will encourage you to share the logs with one of our support agents. In the ticket you mentioned I haven't noticed any logs about the failing (or stuck) downloads, so we'll be happy to learn from you. Our support agent can explain how to get and share those logs, so just let him/her know that you would like to share it.

    Hoping that makes sense,

    Stan,
    Product Manager for Native Access.

So I work in a studio with no internet whatsoever. I've got another computers to download the stuff I want to, put those in an external HDD and get back to my studio to proceed to install and updates.

What should I do now ?

    Hi,
I'm picking up this old thread as I'm in the same situation as the OP. The advice from Stan included the recommendation to "use Komplete hard-drive to install the products locally and not to download gigabytes of data from the Internet". However, I can't find any instructions anywhere online as to how to do this. When I mount and double click on my Komplete 13 Ultimate installer USB drive, all I get is an option to run Native Access.

    Any suggestions please?

You run native access to install from hard drive location. But you meed to run the installer on the drive, and it will install items on drive, but you do need internet access to authorize.

Thanks Simchris. This method is partially successful for me. Some of the libraries install but some of them do not. This is because Native Access insists on downloading the current versions (it tells me that the version on the Komplete USB drive is not up to date) and the installer just sits there saying 'Waiting for a Connection'.

Is there a way of overriding this? I don't actually want the latest version - I want the version that is on the USB drive (I'm rebuilding my system after Logic developed some really strange behaviour and I should like to install Komplete 13 as it existed at the time of its release).

    I'm running Mojave 10.14.6
