[Native Access][OSx - Mojave/Catalina] not installing any VST instruments or Standalone apps

    Hello

    I "Was" a pretty happy customer (by anticipation) when I recently bought one of the Komplete keyboards. And decided to take a stab at installing Komplete start Free bundle... But Alice fell into the rabbit hole and anything she would try to make it work was just fruitless.

    I'll go in the details in this post.

    Summary:
    * Download Native Access from NI website
    * Download an Instrument such as "Blocks Base"
    * Observe: Native Access reports successful installation
    * Observe: No standalone installed: /Applications/Native Instruments/ is Empty
    * Observe: No VST instrument is installed in /Library/Audio/...
    * Observe: /Library/Shared/ contains some stuff, but nothing that I can use.

    Detail:
    Download Native Access, activate Komplete Start and install Blocks Base (or any other Instrument... focused on Blocks Base in order to not cripple my internet bill).
    The instrument reports as successfully installed:

    Cubase VST-Plugin Manager does not show the instrument:

    VST folder does not show anything from NI either

    /Applications/Native instruments/ is empty (No Strandalone)

    Things I've tried:
    - catch the pkg on the fly and try to manually install it: FAIL, invalid digital signature?

    - Relax security and privacy in my system: FAIL, same problem

    - run Native Access as root user: same problem
    - cleanup Native Access using AppCleaner and reinstall: same problem
    - update from Mojave to Catalina: same problem
    - receive my keyboard and enter its serial number: same problem
    - read console log: see at the end of this post


    It's kind of ironic that I spend so much time into trying to install a product that is especially advertised as helping in being productive!
    And oh yeah... I was in a position to buy more, but now... I don't know...

    Sorry if that instrument was not a good example, but I initially installed everything of Komplete Start and could not see anything either.

    I've taken a look at the link you mentioned and installed TRK-01 BASS and MIKRO PRISM.

    They both report as successfully installed but unfortunately, they still do not show in VST plugin manager, /Applications/Native Instruments/ folder or /Library/Audio/ VST folder

    Before you use them install Reaktor or Reaktor player, please.
    Start Reaktor as standalone to set audio and midi connection.

    Granted, the wording on the product page is not that clear, but as Paule said, Install the Reaktor Player, also install the Kontakt Player and Komplete Kontrol... then download everything else. before you get into using anything as a VST it is recommended that you open the Standalone apps (Kontakt Player, Reaktor Player and Komplete Kontrol) so they initialze properly. Those will then be available as VSTs. The only other VSTs included in Komplete Start are SuperCharger and Guitar Rig 5 (which is also a standalone app) So basically, you have been downloading Libraries/Instruments that require a Base Program VST/Standalone app (Reaktor or Kontakt) to actually run.

    Just chiming in here to thank you both for your quick feedback which brought to resolution.
    Running Reaktor Player and Komplete Control first was the thing to do.

    I'll maintain my comment on the copy being confusing (I'm still a bit confused, probably because I still need to RTFM lol), especially on the link provided above:

    which says:
    "TRK-01 BASS and MIKRO PRISM are individual instruments, the other synths load via the REAKTOR 6 PLAYER, or as presets in KOMPLETE KONTROL"
