Native Access installed some 64bit plugins into the wrong location, so I corrected it by moving them.
I have it set to install to C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST2\Native Instruments (where all my plugins live)

    Moved from: C:\Program Files\Native Instruments\VSTPlugins 64 bit
    Move to: C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST2\Native Instruments

After moving them and refreshing Native Access I get the option to repair (individual plugins only, not all in one go)
The first Repair was successful, but every other repair after gives the following message:
"The VST location is invalid. Does it exist? Does the folder contain the VST?"

The answer to both of these questions is Yes. The folder does exist and it contains all of the VST files, but it cannot see them for some reason.

I also tried running as administrator, adding permissions in the security tab, restarting, refreshing, etc. I also keep seeing this notification every time Native Access is launched now.

but it still shows it needs to be repaired, and will not accept the file path.

This seems like a bug on Native Access's part. Maybe it has to do with Windows security. Im not sure. I'm saving re-installing for last ditch effort because I want to avoid the long download/install time with my slow internet. If anyone knows a solution other than re-installing, please help.

Note: Ive used NI plugins for ages and it seems like filepath issues have been a thing the entire time. install paths being ignored, having to move them, etc. But they were always repair-able.

To add more fun to mix, Ableton Live sees these plugins in above location and can load them in channels without a problem. It seems Native Access alone is having issues here.

Have you searched for the DLLs on your system, maybe you have some copies or older DLLs laying somewhere around on your drive.

I can look again. There were older copies in the C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST2\Native Instruments folder since I had to move them last time too. I replaced them with the new copies

Confirmed it did not exist anywhere else on the harddrive. Only in the folder I moved it to. I just Repair > Re-Installed since nothing else was working. Since I have the default path set to the 'CommonFiles...' location I thought it might correct itself. Nope. It re-installed into the wrong location again.

Notice the VST 64 location is set to Common Files

Notice that it completely ignores this (as NI usually does) and installs in the default location

They even tell us in their video about it that we can define the paths for 32bit and 64bit plugins. So it seems it is a bug since its not working

Maybe you've found a bug, i never changed this path, and vst's from other companies i add to this path, i only have my libraries on a different location and this always worked perfectly. If I don't forget it I can make a test tomorrow with moving a dll and see what's happening.

It has done this for the past 15+ years that Ive used it. It would be a nice quality of life improvement if they finally fix it. Was hoping someone else knew something I didn't, but that video about installation paths kind of confirms its not working as it should.

Half of the plugins ignore the path, and the other have do not ignore it and install where I want them to.

It seems as native access is not "transferring" or communicating the path settings to all installers, it starts in the background after downloaing. Or those installers don't start as admin and then they go back to the default location. Maybe a rights issue.

I just tried to contact support but they only allow me to submit very limited information. We'll see if anything comes of it.

Also I am recalling one of the things I used to do was to copy the dll's into the desired filepath and try not to let the daw search in the NI default location.

    Encore.

And just for the purpose of extended comedy. After re-installing there is nothing in the default folder, but Native Instruments is certain that it re-installed it there.

lol looks like it update the filepath on the Driver tab just before I screenshot this. (The previous screenshot of Driver was after re-installation/refresh/restart. It has not been reinstalled or moved again since then)

This isn't exactly a deal breaker or major problem. Just annoying and confusing to deal with. Hope they fix it some day.
