I have made sure that both my Firewall and Malwarebytes have been completely disabled, so I know these are not causing the issue. I also just did a complete factory reset, so my system doesn't have any viruses, malware, etc.

My internet connection is stable and fast...so why do the products download but then freeze up forever on "installing"?

I have been trying to install Metropolis Ark 1 for example and it has been stuck on "installing" for hours. I will try resetting Native Access, but I doubt that will fix the issue and I will most likely need to start the download process over again, which will take forever once again.

Is there a solution to this issue?

Of course...Metropolis Ark 1 finally installs. My internet connection is fast with everything. I know some of these sound libraries are large but should they really take hours to install?

It can if the server giving you the data is overloaded or busy but sometimes the routing of internet has to go thru a service that is having problems. If you can't get what you need ask customer service for ip address of the server. You can ping the address and find out how much time it takes to receive the data. Your internet may be fast but some server in the path might be having problems and its not even you internet service provider. Search "how to ping an ip address" it's easy.

Try changing your DNS to Google or cloudflare. Frontier sucks as one example. Makes huge difference for our networks in California.

I also like OPENDNS, blazing fast. You can get the info straight from the OPENDNS web page, place those 3 DNS server settings in your router (assuming you have DHCP Enabled on your PC/MAC) and you are ready to go.

Actually, you can enable custom dns in windows or mac settings without touching router hardware admin.

that's certainly true. I've found making the adjustments in the router offers a few more advantages such as all devices accessing the router make use of the router's DNS changes. Secondly, the router modification and static DNS address implementation for all 3 DNS entries (I use 2 for OPENDNS and 1 GOOGLE DNS, both are quite fast) avoids subverting the resolution of Domain Name System (DNS) aka DNS poisoning / DNS hijacking by enabling (if available in the router) a section called DNS Rebinding.

If the products download with no problem, but get stuck on "install" - does this not point to an issue with something like anti-virus software interfering with the installation? Many of these programs have functions to check all running programs i/o activities, including writing to disk, and that can significantly interfere with installation processes.

It is nothing to do with the anti virus or the internet router.

My anti viruses and firewalls are all switched off so there is no barrier from stopping the installation from working, also if it was the internet router, then it would get stuck on downloading the software. My computer doesn't have an issue with downloading the software, its the INSTALLATION process that seems to be the problem.

All of my NI products just keep getting stuck on installation where a blue bar just goes back and forth for all eternity...

Something needs to be done they can't just keep chucking more and more products out there without fixing their current products...

I don't have a problem, are you sure your hard drive is not full?
Also the install software draw information from the internet. Why don't you try installing in off peak hours like 2 am. How much drive space do you have available. If nothing works, boot into safe mode and install the software, worth a try. And turn off everything using the task manager. Also open msconfig, flip to the page that disables all start up services, choose 'hide all microsoft services' the disable everything else. It will tell you to restart. It will boot fast and load nothing, Disable your security package afterwards as sometimes it starts anyway. If it still won't install at 2 am install malwarebytes trial version and run a scan. try again. Assuming you are running Windows 10. What is your op system?

I had the same issue but resolved this by checking the path. In my case I was installing to a Slow 5400rpm USB drive at W:\Native Instruments. I bought a new 2TB SSD drive and the issue is resolved and now quite fast. I'd start with opening Native Access app, go to your User profile in the upper right corner, Choose Preferences. Inspect that all of the paths are correct. Physically go to each folder on the hard drive and inspect each of these locations. If any of the folders are pointing to an external drive, be sure that drive is powered on and working such as a USB drive. Also check to be certain your drive Path does not install to an NAS Drive, this unfortunately is not supported. If running Windows, Check to see the drive (or drives) isn't full or corrupt. If using Windows perform a "chkdsk /f" via command prompt with administrator privileges on the drive in question. Drives get corrupt from improper shutdowns, power outages etc. There are tutorials online how to perform this. You can open Disk Management in Windows also and inspect the status and that the drive letter hasn't changed to say a Flash Drive. I would recommend a full reboot also. I have clients that haven't rebooted in weeks..their internet and system performance degrades considerably.
