Wow, almost 2 years now with an existing bug and no alternative way to download or install anything? Then 5-8 days to hear from support. What is up with your engineering team? Get this fixed!

This Native Access application is a disaster and a complete failure on your part NI.

Not a bug with the program. Works for me. Issues with permissions, video driver, etc. are specific issues with Windows. You have to tweak certain systems to work, just like on Mac. Whining serves no purpise.

A bug is something which can be reproduced at any time. Native Access runs perfectly fine on my Windows 10 environment, I can also easily download stuff. Ergo: no bug.

Keep in mind that download problems can be caused by just about everything. Sure, Native Instruments' own servers are part of that also, but don't think that your connection with the NI servers is a one on one. Try this:
    • Press Win-R ('run') and then enter 'cmd' (without the quotes).
    • Enter the following command: tracert www.native-instruments.com
    • Enjoy the list...
If there's a problem with any of those addresses you see in that list then that can have its effects on your download. So immediately blaming N.I. when a download fails is simply unrealistic, especially if there are plenty of other NI users who are not having any issues.

(edit): Downloaded Electric Sunburst deluxe edition myself 2 days ago, quick download and no issues with the installation.

Okay Y'all, I figured it out. I'm running the latest version of windows 10 and none of the things they said helped at all, which I can see is the case for most of us. Here's what I did that finally got it working.

start native access (it should get stuck searching for update)
    ctrl+alt+del and open task manager
right click native access and click properties
click the compatibility tab and check "run this program in compatibility mode for" then from the drop down menu select Windows 7
    hit apply then OK
right click native access again and click end task
    restart.

With any luck it will work for you too. Weirdly, when I first did it I tried windows 8 compatibility and it got past the first screen and wouldn't let me log in, but 7 worked great. Best of luck!

What do you mean? What part is confusing you? It's a step by step explanation of what I did to resolve my problem.

Apologies for being blunt: because it does not add up and is basically a load of nonsense.

I am not questioning the possible fact that things worked for you after performing these steps but whatever your problem was it wasn't fixed by this. N.A. was build for Windows 10 and I happen to have a good understanding of what the compatibility mode does; I rely on it for some of my companies projects. There is no way it could have fixed the issues the OP described.

In fact... It actually results in a counter productive setup. This is not a good idea.

    As such my comment above.

Are you actually having this problem? Because I did on two computers, this fixed it on both. If you are having this problem and don't want to try it, don't try it, but considering how it fixed my problem twice, it may actually help some people.

Tried all of the steps listed on the NI site and ones community members have resorted to figuring out on their own, but no luck, no error messages, and AFAIK no log files. I guess I'll return the software that depends on this for now, and wait for NI to hopefully release a fix.

In Windows 10 this is a firewall issue.
You need to add the native access app .exe in the 'Allowed Apps' list.

Just go to youtube and look for "how to add application to windows 10 firewall"

    Hey All,

In order to make this work do the following,

    1. Download installer
    2. Disconnect internet
    3. Run Installer as Admin
    4. Run Native Access
    5. An error will occur when trying to update
    [IMG]
    6. Reconnect internet
    7. Click Retry
    8. The account creation screen will popup
    upload_2020-4-23_14-0-1.png
    9. Enter email / password and click CREATE
    10. Enjoy some awesome free instruments!

    Hope this helps! :)

I had a situation where the app appeared to start, but the window wasn't visible. Turns out the registry was messed up.

I needed to set the key

    \HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Native Instruments\Native Access\WindowGeometry

    to be

    @Rect(0 0 1126 984)

Restarted the program and the window returned.

    Hello out there,
I am currently experiencing difficulties opening Native Access on windows 10. I have a 2nd hand Traktor S4. Every time I attempt to open Native Access I receive Load Library failed error code 1114 .DLL initialization routine failed.
Hoping someone knows the cure for this issue.

I had this same problem, exactly the same. I can now open the installer and use it but when I try and install my products they all fail. I installed a windows update 2 or 3 days ago, after doing that NA will now open. Got to system information on your computer, is your version Windows 10
    Version 10.0.18363 Build 18363 ?

I did a Google search using the error message you received and out pops this link:
    https://helpdesk.microsurvey.com/in...ink-library-dll-initialization-routine-failed

Perhaps your issue is the same one as described, and hopefully the solutions it prescribed will help you solve your problem.
