They messed it up again! B4II Gone with the wind - The one tool that was actually good (though of course not compatible with PT) This is once again a business decision that ruins it for many producers who invested time and money in the NI lineup. Discontinued products to met the hobbiest demands. Were talking Garageband level production tools. Youre gone forever NI. And I will make the best effort I can to make people stay away from your shameful company. Im linking this thread to Digidesign DUC and let the Protools user group feast on you. Buy Buy NI - Forever.

Hi, just posting here to find out if my issues are part of this incompatibility drama. Hosted NI's plugins from K5 grind my RTAS processing like crazy, which results in tons of playback issues. I actually have to stop producing when I use one or more instance of Guitar Rig 3 and Kontakt 3.5... Even on IDLE! Its grinding about 40% of my RTAS processing... Is that considered as incompatibility? I've noticed that Pro Tools actually listed K5 in their compatibility grid but I might be wrong.

    Anyone?
What are the issues that you guys experience?

Im not sure what to say but has anyone got any advice as to getting kmplt 5 running in pt 8.digi site promotes kmplt 5 as usable software compatable with osx10. even gives price and links to dealers, then other page on site says only some work, and on native site it says all work compatable with 10.5.

Akoustic piano is the biggest problem and and have found it dosnt even exist on the prtools 8 compatable site page but all other kmplte 5 does.
one midi track in pt 8 session and it crashes....2.9gzh itell etc. but in garage band i can kep adding komplete five pluggins till the cows come home....and no prob.....this would suggest protools issue.
its too late i have spent the $ on each and have to use garagband for the projects..amazing,i have com full circle and a bit poorer,.
I would be optomistic that native and digi would sort this out ,but it seems it s been a long time coming even beofre i purchased the software. a lot of people use pt and a lot use native now.
So garage band becomes the midi session hahahaha..and protools the bouncded down audio from GB session....what a pain...but full circle.

hope like crazy this can be fixed.
note :n the 4 solid whole days i have been looking for answers ,some people have had sucsess with kmplte 5 in protools but its very random and not all ways consistant. for example battery runs fine for me in pt8 but akustic p is bung as,kontact works but affects other tracks(audio)....?

rock on garageband hahahaha.everything works..go figure.

anyway any help and suggestions besides switching software companies?
    ---
Realy im mad as for the waist of $$ and time. the support from digi and native is very poor.at first it was ok but it never solved the problem,in fact i just kept getting refeered to forums in each website. the best help was users forums from independent sites.(no polotics )etc......i guess

    peace...hopefully

I note the disparaging reference to "hobbiest demands" - as if 'producers' are the only ones "who invested time and money in the NI lineup". I would suggest that the massed ranks of 'hobbists' invest far MORE money and time than do the comparitive few elitists who think that the sun shines out of the hole in PT's disc.

As I thought. A self-important jerk. I've met enough of them, each thinking that their needs should come above those of all others. And I thought you were 'outtahere'. Or was that just another little foot-stamping tantrum?

Im not more important than anyone else - but Im JUST as important as anyone. Youre the ignorant one - trolling here. Ive paid $ for my nonfunctional software - Why cant I get what Ive paid for? Who are you to judge me. How can you defend NI´s policy not to support our (PT) Daw? If you dont have anything intelligent to contribute dont write in here. Incredible.

Ah! So it WAS was that just another little foot-stamping tantrum then.

And my 'trolling' was against your disparaging of 'hobbiests' - whose time and money is every bit as important as yours.

There is also the question of who is at fault. NI or the makers of ProTools. Especially when all NI software seems to work pretty damn well on all platforms.

Quite frankly, I wish NI would give PT users their money back.

    I'm 'outtahere'.

I dont have anything against "hobbiests" - In fact in many aspects I am one myself - so dont give me that. What I react upon is the fact that all other plugin-developers manage to deliver functional products to the PT plattform - In NI´s case it took almost 2 years to make the K5 package to only partially work in this environment. And now were moving in to SL. Forget about it. To say that its Digidesigns problem is a joke. Yeah I guess this is a footstamping whatever. Dont you worry about it . And YES - PT users should have their money back. But I dont think that you honestly care about that mr "Schrager Musik". You just had a bad day and shoot at anything. Take it easy - have a banana or take that yoga class. Dont rant with me about this.

    Lets imagine that:

the rats are scrambling from the Digi boatyards. Something big is in the water at AVID although IDK what.

But that is just conjecture and only in our imaginations.
