    Hello Native Instruments Community!
I think about to buy "Traktor Pro 2" together with the "Native Instruments Komplete Audio 6".
My Controller is the "Hercules RMX2" which is a good MIDI controller, but i won't use the Soundcard because lack of Bass. My currently Soundcard only has 2 Channels.

    My Question now is:
Does it work if i want to use the "Native Instruments Komplete Audio 6" as standalone Soundcard for everything?
Master Speaker, Monitoring and recording at the same time?
Do it have 6 Channels to select in Traktor Pro 2?

    Mfg :)

    Hello,

Hercules DJConsole Rmx2 does not lacks bass, it is not a mixer but a DJ controller so it sends exactly the level of bass your software plays.
    You may be mistaken
    - either by your speakers lacking bass (then you can check the bass in your headphones)
    - or by the EQ setting in the software you use (if you refer to VirtualDJ LE, the bass setting for RMX2 in VDJ LE is lower than it was for example with RMX 1)..

Thanks for the reply. For me it feels like the quality goes down after recording in wav from wav source file.
How do i make the compare? I did listen a track before and after recording on the same speakers. There is a differen, not a huge one but still it is important for me.

    Hello,

In general, if you play a track and record its mix in a DJ software, the recording is made in pure software (it is a software operation, it does not use the outputs or inputs of the audio interface), so it does bot depend on the hardware, except for the ability of the hardware to play the track (so if you record in 24-bit 96kHz, you need a hardware capable to play at 24-bit 96kHz)..

If you compare a file you record with the original source audio file, you should check the recording level in the recording software (the recording level is not the playback in general, you generally have a Record level button).
You should also check the playback settings (EQ, autogain, playback volume...) to make sure you compare a recorded track with the same settings as its original source.

Thank you for the hint. At the weekend i am able to test something around it.
I also did read something about a Limiter in Traktor which can cause some quality loss, i will check this.
