Native Sample Deck control for X1

    Havent installed the new update yet, kinda waiting to see what everyone has to say around here ;). But I am curious how this has been implemented. Is there an option you can check in the preferences? And how/where are the controls on the actual X1? Thanks in advance!

    Yes, the X1 preferences page was changed. In section Default Setups you can load the Sampler mapping for one of the two connected X1 by selecting it in the dropdown and clicking Restore.

    Be careful, because:
    - clicking Restore removes all other loaded X1 NHL mappings from the Controller Manager (even when no X1 is connected)
    - the new mappings are only loaded if there is an X1 connected.

    Thanks for the info rainer! So, does this option change the default behavoir of the fx buttons/knobs, or the play/cue buttons, etc? In other words, what does it actually change on the hardware itself, control-wise?

    This option replaces the X1 mapping with the one for the sample decks.
    I attach a screenshot from the PDF that documents the mapping

    Extremely informative, thank you good sir! Now, what I'd really love is to leave the Native mapping untouched and have this Sample layout occupy the MIDI page of my X1. Is it possible to load this mapping directly to the MIDI page or perhaps load it and then copy/paste the whole mapping to MIDI mode?

    While I do have some decent experience MIDI mapping in Traktor, I was hoping for an easy way to just import to the MIDI page. Will have a mess around later. Thanks for the info Rainer!

    So I'm having trouble getting these alternate mappings to load. No matter which I choose in the preferences menu, my current mapping stays loaded. Is there and extra step that must be taken rather than just selecting "C + D- Sample" from the drop down menu?
