Native support for Numark NS7 & V7

NI do not ignore our request, NS7 + Traktor is the deal. Show us that you truly are the leader in this business. Support NS7!

I've been a long time owner of Traktor and currently use TSP, and I just purchased a NS7.

Is a release with NS7 support a priority or coming soon?

 

I would like to formally request that Traktor Scrath Pro completely support Numark's NS7 immediately.

I would also take this opportunity to inform Native Instruments that I am very saddened with the lack of movement to take advantage of the hype of the NS7 to sell more Traktor Scratch software. If Traktor was ready withing 2 months of the NS7s' release, I am sure it would have become spotlighted by enthusiasts out in the real world, garnering attention for it's rich abilities and earning the respect of Itch users. Perhaps converting them.

It is my opinion that Native Instruments thinks the NS7 will be obsoleted soon anyway so why bother spending R&D into hardware that they haven't created themselves. I may be wrong. There are probably other reasons. Just making an opinion.

GET MOVING AND SUPPORT THE NS7! YOU ARE NOT EARNING RESPECT BY SITTING IDLE ON THIS POSITION. I WAS WILLING TO BETA TEST FOR YOU AND HAVE SUBMITTED THE APPROPRIATE PAPERWORK AND HAVE HEARD NOTHING FOR OVER A MONTH. I AM A VERY PROUD SUPPORTER OF NATIVE INSTRUMENTS WITH NON-INFINITE INCOME AND PATIENCE. THERE ARE LEGIONS OF US WHO FEEL THE SAME.

Please initiate offical support of the NS7 immediately. Thank you in advance for all your hard work. It is appreciated and expected.

 

My 0.02 cents and only an opinion but the NS7 comes bundled with software that already works with it - Serato ITCH.

My guess is that this is fairly low down on NI's priorities because even when they get it to work the crossover from users will be fairly low - they've already dropped over a grand on an integrated solution.

 

What will be interesting is if the XoneDX is supported, not to mention the VCI-300 is already supported.

 

Yeah well it is a similar scenario - I guess the mixer has the tech specs to be potentially Traktor Scratch certified.

 

Since the VCI-300 is supported (which is also sold with Serato's ITCH), I dont see any reason for not supporting the NS7 (unless there are problems between NI and Numark).

PLEASE NI TEAM: PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE, MAKE IT HAPPEN --> NATIVE SUPPORT for the NS7

I don't think it is so much that the VCI-300 is 'supported'. The VCI-300 is a class-compliant MIDI controller and as such works in Traktor.

It would appear that the NS7 isn't. Or more specifically, the motorized platter bit isn't.

 

It's a competitors product, i wouldn't support it if i was NI, i'd be thinking about bringing out my own.

NI TSP doesn't have to support every friggin controller.

You bought a Numark Serato Itch NS7 controller

This is a free board where if people want to make a request they can. Not to mention NI is already making a product that supports SSL if you didn't notice.

Also, there are a few controllers that Traktor supports that directly support SSL as well.

There is nothing for everyone to get over, if you don't like the thread don't read it.

 

As you say the board is free, I can read, as well as express my opinion on a feature request, not every comment has to be a +1

 

@ekwipt I will not get over it and there are other people like me that will not get over it. Why? Because and I will now speak on behalf of myself...I Believe to date Traktor is the BEST DJ Software out there and to date the only controller that has spinningplatters and connects directly to a laptop and has a builtin mixing board is the NS7. This is the closest you can get to a turntable and to date Traktor doesn't have a hardware capable of this capacity. So its logical to me to bridge the best DJ Software with the new technology of the ns7. Get over it? No way!

I wouldn't use the word conspiracy. If that was the case, they wouldn't allow me to have this thread, share all the information I have, let alone accept my TSI files.

January is right around the corner let's wait and see what happens. I have been sending all the midi info, tsi's and video links to what has been accomplished so far directly to NI.

I have tested something that I was impressed with but it was very preliminary. So let's just wait and see what happens.
