Ha ha.... You guys missed the point

I guess we have to take this one step at a time

Answer this Can't you create a script to decay midi notes? No?

I think the position has been made pretty clear ... and constructive suggestions have been made as to how you can approach implementing what you want.

It may well be possible to provide a scripted solution to your request, but it would need to be done in conjunction with a sampling strategy etc

I can't speak for anyone else, but if budget is not an issue for you I would be more than happy to progress it forward for you. However, without a clear definition of requirement, budget, timescale, I think I've taken it as far as I can for now

mate I understand that. All I want to know now is it possible to script a decay of midi notes? A decay is like a a million little echo's rapidly fading out(sound) at a faster rate.

ok, look, what you seem to be referrrrring to now is midi echo, which is not the same as a reverb :D

A reverb is one note with "artifacts", midi echo by definition is a repeating of a note. If your looking for midi echo there is a standard script for that provided in the library ... but its not reverb :)

Never did say that a decay was the same as reverb, but now you have the right idea :)

What about feedback? Is it possible to script feedback to control the decay of midi?

hmm, so you for sure don't want reverb, and actually want midi echo?

If that is the case, please look at the midi echo script provided with Kontakt

There is no such thing as "MIDI decay." You have a NOTE ON and a NOTE OFF. If the sound being triggered has a long decay, it will sound after the note off command. If it has a short decay, it will die as soon as the note off command.

Are you suggesting a script that would have each MIDI note generate 10,000 successive note on/off commands and have them get progressively quieter and call that "Reverb?"

Well your posts tend to convey that air about them, for the bigger part. Sorry for stating the truth.
