I am looking for a really cool analog step sequencer..
One that does more than play 1-16..but each note can have its own length..velocity..alternate mode and so on..Where can i find one..I type in sequencer in user libary but could not find anything interesting..Anyone know of one by Name like what I am looking for..

    try drumsequencer, or midi looper

i've uploaded newer versions of both. and will upload an even
simpler (with just as many features) as those 2.

i remember when i did the metasequencer, you had given me advice
on making a looping sequencer which can go forward, backward, or alternating, sort of like a midi "sampler"-- and that's what these are, but only unidirectional, except with the midi looper there's also
    a step transform, so step 1 can = 3, step 2 = 9, etc (so you can
go in any order, and map the set of orders to patterns)

each pattern is triggered by a pitch, and each loop can have
different length tempo (with midi looper each step can have
different tempo). each step can have a shift (shift the note in
time from beginning to end of step), and a length (if length >
step length, then make len >1, and later do the same pitch with
    0 gate for note off)

the drum sequencer is like the midi looper, except you can
see 10 loops simultaneously, and string each set of them together
with a master sequencer, and each set of master sequences with an
external "master master" sequencer-- this was the most useful when
it came to making beats (for me).

the step sequencer (newest) is in latest version of amoeba (V3 i think, maybe i didn't upload it yet)-- either way i'm working on an update to the step sequencer, so that you can have all those features,
except simplify step transform to forwards, backwards, alternating,
and get rid of a few features that would never be used.

these evolved from the metasequencer and midas ensembles --
basically it's the interface-- since without a well designed,
fast interface, you can't really make any music (and until i design
one, i can't either--i wish i could stop to play sometime:)

the "amoeba" is a multi celled sampler that evolved from the two opposites gigantolupulous and homunculus (the most powerful-- i think, but interface is not efficient enough)-- this will evolve into "protazoa" (hopefully by monday:) which will come with the latest step sequencer

anyway, try the drum sequencer (latest one you can find, it's just
called "drum sequencer" and i think it comes with "amoeba")
or wait until protazoa, (or use any of the other ensembles:)

    peace,
    elon

p.s. bacteria and amoeba came before protazoa, but after protazoans,
what was it? fungi? i know they came a little before nervous systems evolved in vertebrates -- just trying to get a name for the
next next ensemble (a synth based on protazoa's genome:)
wow, i just realized that gigantalupulous and homunculus are both
"single celled" also, but gigantalupuli have no other reference
in mythogy (besides this email--sort of like atlantis in that plato ~ book). maybe i should continue trying to string together a ~ comprehensive myth to all my ensembles offline. puff puff puff..~

    cool

cool..I tried them but really complex..and something that can run without the need of an external sequencer like Cubase..(no pitch to trigger) ..just internal/ext midi clock..vst midi ext sync..
Thanks for the great work and effort..I must try these more..Just hate when it gets so complex that it interferes with music creation.
