I'm looking to have a realistic wind sound. Something like you would here in a desert or in a place where the wind is howling. I thought Reaktor had something like this but I have Komplete so I'm sure somehow there is a sound or something similar I can tweak. I would also love to have a cave howling sound. Something very realistic. Is there anything in Komplete that would have this? Or an engine within Reaktor that is specifically for wind type sounds? Thanks.

I found these putting "wind" in the search engine of the Reaktor user library. I have no clue if they are realistic. Realistic is very subjective and above all contaxt dependant. Wind don't have a sound - it's what the wind is blowing at which makes the sound. Sand dunes can make very very unexpected singing sounds e.g.

SpaceDrone in the factory library can make some cool windy sounds but to get them "realistic" you probably have to tweak them and remove some reverb.

Or you could just take your smartphone out a windy day and press record.

    What sound will this generate?:
    1. Turn on the fan
    2. Pour sand over the fan
    3. And now you get a new sound

The fan is big rotating sharp blades that creates wind.
Using chimes in front of it creates windchimes.

Thanks everyone. I really like the wind sound from the Airwolf pilot episode. I know allot of that was a white noise modular synth but still it is really cool.

    Perhaps just use a recording?
There are some free samples available.

Very basic wind / wave sound is achieved by putting white noise through a band-pass filter
