Need Help. Traktor + Numerk Mixdeck + Mac 10.7 lion

I just bought a new Mac with OS X 10.7 (lion). I have installed Traktor 1.2.7 as I was told that any later version is not supported on Mac 10.7.

I also installed the drivers for the Numark Mix Deck and it does appear that my Mac recognizes it as it shows it "connected"

The issue I am having is that after installing Traktor and running through the Setup Wizard steps it prompts me to the Audio Setup in preferences. Here in the drop down for Audio Device I only see Audio 8 DJ and Built in core audio not a Numark mixdeck option.

My computer can install Traktor and recognize the MixDeck but it cant make the linkage between the two.

I spoke to Numark and Apple and they have both suggested to downgrade to Mac OS X 10.6. That would involve me buying the new OS software, but i'm not 100% sure that this would work.

Is there anything else i could try? Am I missing something? Should i try a new DJ software?

sorry to reply with a question.. haha.. so 1.2.7 works fine on lion? i purchased an mbp 13 inch i5 not long after you. do you just use the numark mix deck? or do you also use vinyl timecodes?

 

Yes i just use mixdeck, no vinyl. I think 1.2.7 is working fine but I am unable to make the linkage between it and my mixdeck. I'm now waiting Numark to make the lion patch and using my old PC for now.

Hi, Im having the same problem. i got a new mac and im running an 10.6.8 software. i did everything you did. but idk whats wrong. i returned the old mixdeck and got a new one and nothing still. i guess its cause of the mac and its new updates

 

I have the same problem guys. Did you find any solution? now i will try to buy a sound card to start playng @ a club but i have this big problem with my mixdeck.....
