Hi, I have been trying to use massive for a while now and got some great tutorial vids today.

After watching and trying to copy I relised that I get a high tone which makes everythink sound crap.

For example. New sound. OSC 1 sin-square on 100% sin should produce a deep bassy sound. With me its a high pitched tone.

If I copy everything on tutorials it sounds terrible.

    What is wrong?

    Thanks in advanced

    ;)

apologies for asking this, have you tried playing the patch with a lower pitched note?

f#0 to f1 are nice and subby with a sine tone.

Are you sure that osc pitch key tracking is not fixed? See the KTR OSC tab, set it to "linear" for all oscs.

You might just have to put down the pitch on the oscillator, which you'll find in a black box next to the 'Wt-position' control.

Sorry, I'm being captain obvious here, you've probably already tried that.

Another obvious thought is that you haven't got a matured understanding of how Massive works. It is a psuedo complex instrument once one ventures from the preset sounds and if the tutorial is from NI, you have done something wrong. Try and keep an open mind and take the time to learn the instruments before becoming frustrated. Your understanding will come in short order. Keep at it.

try setting it to -12.00 instead of 00.00 and you should be in the realm! I would solo OSC 1 and see where the problem is coming from

Hi thanks for your reply guys but I figured it out shortly after.

Going down 2 or 3 Octaves sorted the problem.

    Silly me!
