I did not go to school for audio. In fact, every computer skill I have is self-taught. For things like 3ds max, inventor or auto cad I watched videos on lynda.com or other sites. I am trying to learn audio and I have playground sessions to learn to play piano but learning audio is different. I can find websites that will teach Reaktor or massive but there are roadblocks. So far I am trying to find out what certain terms mean such as in Reaktor mod a or b. When I look up mod a/b in google I find info about how radio signals are carried through the air. As for a gate, I find it is very similar to a high pass filter. But this doesn't make sense in the way it is being used in Reaktor and I need to find out exactly what it means. And I'm sure there are more terms I will run into that I won't understand so I need a resource. Online training videos would be the best but I can also buy a book if it is going to teach me the exact things I need to know. Any help would be appreciated thanks.

Also while I'm asking for resources I need a resource on instruments. I have Komplete 11 Ultimate and there are a ton of instruments and then specific instruments inside of them such as a drum set has several different instruments all together called a set or the vocal range of instruments for brass or chorus. I need a resource to learn all of the details of these instruments instead of googling specific things that I find that I don't understand.

John Ian, as I left school in '74 DSP was unknown for me and other pupils.
You know 'REAKTOR Blocks Manual English.pdf' coming with Reaktor Blocks in folder 'Documents'. Have a look on page 33.

Lol a very polite version of RTFM

@John Ian Crawford I suspect that the majority of people here are self taught, I am and I know there are plenty others. Even some of the 'gurus' here are self taught. To some degree it goes with the territory.

That said, if basic stuff that's covered in the product manuals is enough to beat you, I fear you may have seriously under-estimated the challenge you have undertaken ;)

Wow, the manual is exactly what I needed. I need to start looking at manuals more. I'm used to manuals saying how to plug the product in and it stops there but these are exactly what I needed.
