I've just bought Komplete and Logic Pro and am having a lot of difficulties sequencing Battery beats in Logic Pro. The whole process of recording the beat, then trimming the clip then deleting the excess and copy pasting the beat seems very time consuming, is there a better way to do this?

Can I use something like trigger finger to make a short sequence then copy it to the logic track like I do with Reason? Can I use Reaktor to accomplish this more easily? Sorry I'm a newb, and thanks in advance for your advice!

    You're recording midi, right?

"trimming the clip then deleting the excess..."

I have no idea what you're doing.

I am not sure about logic pro but doesnt it have a sequencer / piano roll? You draw notes or trigger it and then you stretch the clip.

Thanks for the advice guys, but what I'm saying is that, it seems VERY tedious to sequence Battery beats in Logic. Is this the program most people around here use to do it? Is there an easier program for this?

What exactly is it that you find tedious about sequencing Battery with Logic? Be a little more specific about what you are trying to accomplish?

Do you mean trimming the midi parts? MIDI notes? What are you talking about?

You can use the Trigger Finger to trigger midi notes for sequencing with Logic. If you are finding it tedious to draw the midi notes manually then a midi device like the Trigger finger or any other midi drum pad or midi keyboard would be helpful.

Not sure how Reaktor will help you out, but then I am also a little confused about what you are having problems with and what you are trying to do.

Different people use different programs and/or hardware for sequencing. Logic is just as capable as any other program and essentially not all that much different than anything else. Most DAW software will essentially have the same essential features and functions for sequencing.
