while i wait for tech support on kontakt i have yet another issue.even though i am storing my libraries on a second drive kontakt needs 135 gigs on my MAIN HD to install SOLO by audio imperia. there is no way i can free up that much space. i need a work around. this is absurd.

That's a Native Access issue, so moving to NA subforum.

Yes of course. I tried everything. Audio imperia says you guys need to send me an iso. It’s a known issue.

The problem with NA is that you can specify where to place the download,
but even if it is a different or external disk,
it will be unpacked and installed from the system disk after downloading.
But it has too little space and then gives the error message.

It can be easily solved in NA, but that can only be done by the Dev.Team.
By ensuring that the download directory also is the extract directory
and from there install the software on the desired place.

Any news on this? I don't understand such an obvious issue. I can't free up over 100 GB from my system drive. Unforunately, selecting different paths for download and installation in NA doesn't make any difference, free space on my system disk is still required. This is a real bummer.

I had this issue a couple of years back and I just managed to clear 60gb from my 125gb Mac to get it to work.

Now i have the issue again but I'm not going to be able to clear 106gb from a 125gb system hard drive.

It's really disappointing to see such an obvious issue is still unfixed, other people having the same issue and no action from NI.

Hope support can provide a workaround.

Do you also have this problem if you install the software one by one?

Bumping this. Can't free up 90% of my system drive for a temporary download. Please fix.

Hey, you have to email support and they’ll give you a direct download file. Absurd but that’s the fix.

SOLVED IT. You can change the download location in Native Access to a non-C:\ drive to avoid needing to free up space on your C:\

    Have you installed it?

I found that option but it still needed to download through the system drive.

    Hopefully they just fixed it.

Bump! Having same issues with attempting to install from new upgrade to Ultimate Col. Ed 13 (and attempting to download larger installation files one at a time). I've read everything on this issue above and elsewhere that I can find. I've moved everything off of the boot drive that I can (what a pain). I have plenty of drive space. It would be fun and profitable if I could easily install what I purchased.
