    Hi everyone,
.. while reading andre's post on cd cue issue (i dont use cd by the way) i have noticed that mine does the same thing..ie when i lift the needle and put it back somewhere else on the record i get a fraction of the sound that was playing before it picks up again from where it should be...whilst this isnt really a problem for normal djing when i start to utilise the loops properly it will piss me right off as i wont be able to needle drop into the 15 sections quick enought to do melodies etc......now i thought that everyone has this issue (and was referred to as needle biffer..??) but after reading andres post im not sure anymore...am i doing something wrong? im running 2.02 by the way

    Many thanks

    Geoff

    Anybody???

Am i the only one still getting the buffering problem in 2.02 or is it still a problem for most...Any ideas of whether it can be fixed? i just want to know whether getting more ram would make a big difference? i want a scratch record that i can needle drop so i can make my own tones and melodies..

    Peace

the buffer problem still exists but it is not near as bad as it used to be... try moving your slider more towards cd instead of vinyl if you want a quicker response, keep it near vinyl for more stability of timecode reading...

I have the same needle buffer problem with vinyl, which is annoying but that's the only minor problem i have, Would be nice to get it fixed though.

Thanks for the info you guys...its not a major issue like you say and it doesnt change my opinion that TFS2 was well worth the update..does anyone know whethar it can be fixed by an update..or is it something were stuck with now??/

    Peace

    Jazz

Oh and another question.....the cue points in TFS2 as far as i can tell are just markers for on the screen..they cant be used to skip directly to a spot in the tune by pressing a button..?! BUT can this be done in DJ 1.6?? i mean in all seriousness what is the point of cue points if you still have to cue them..??

The timecode issues are something we all want answers to. right now we are stuck with needle buffer problem. TDJS 2.6 allows you to move to cue points within the software.

The needle buffer problem seems to be worse on AAC files compared to others, at least on the Mac platform. If you're using AAC files, try a different format and see if it gets any better for you.
