Just thought I'd tidy the board up a bit by adding a dedicated new amp thread, rather than lump all improvements into a single thread (it's a compulsion from moderating another board, but should help out NI a little bit).

Kicking off then, I'd like to see...

    Mesa Boogie Mk I/II
    Brian May's deacy amp

OK, here goes a few outside-the-box models perhaps:

Tandberg reel-to-reel from the 50's/60's with built in little tube amp and ca. 5" speaker. Absolutely amazing compression on semi-clean and overdriven sounds, and buttery distortion.

Pignose practice amp as used by Eric Clapton and Duane Allman on "Layla" album.

I don't own GR but I've been thinking about getting it for a while now.

Things that would make me jump on it:

    Amps

    Diezel VH4/Herbert
    Bogner anything!
Superbass tonestack option for the plexi
    Mesa mk IV

    Effects

Anything new and weird that isn't an emulation of a vintage pedal.

It's the digital world guys, why not have pictures of the wavefrom and be able to mangle it and apply all sorts of wired filters and granular type effects

I'd like to see a Bogner anything as well, preferably the Extacy. And I'd love to see a Marshall JCM900, too. And a Mesa Lonestar wouldn't hurt.

    Hi.

I think also a Mesa/Boogie Mark-Series Amp would be great. I'd favour the Mark III, but I think it would be possible to add some sounds of all amps of the Mark-Series.

Also I think it would be great if there were a Dumble-Amp.

Now that I think about it, a Boogie Mark amp model would be really great. Maybe a II or III, or the infamous IV.

....now there´s list of equipment worth a million. and you want all that great tone coming out of one little computer....
get real. I bet you haven´t even used the existing amps to their full limits, including mic setups and different cabinets. you get so many different tones out of that without even throwing in any stomp effects or equalizer...
I consider it an advantage beeing limited to the choice of fewer amps.It leaves you with more time to improve your playing.
I own expensive equipment, real tubes, and still I return to the RIG, especially when practicing or recording under the headset. The tone REALLY meets up, that is if you take some time to find a hum and hiss free setting that fits your pickups....
Thanks to NI for providing such a wonderful tool.On the fly recording, loop machine, wahwah....you name it.

...how could you miss the point of such a simple thread?

I like Brohymn's idea of having all of the Rectifier models, but I think it'd be easier if we could change power levels on the Gratifier from 50 to 100 to 150. That would be pretty cool. You get all three rectifiers. I'd also like to see the 'Pushed' option that comes with the clean channel. I get some great distorted tones by pushing the clean channel on my Rectifier.

And you'd bet yourself broke, too - I've been playing 31 years, own 4 top shelf guitars(including a JEM 7 VWH), a Peavey 5150, Marshall JMP 1, 1970 issue Marshall 1960A cabinet, and a ton of floor/rack EFX.
It is a shame a person can't let their opinions and desires (for a product they paid good money for) be heard in a forum setting without someone you've never spoken to thinking they know everything about you - McCartney said it best- fool on the hill...

Go ahead - Bet your life - you won't live long... 31 years as a player(opened for Pat Travers, Survivor, Black Oak Arkansas,...) have 4 top shelf guitars(including a Jem 7 VWH), a Peavey 5150, Marshall JMP-1 and 1970 issue 1960A cab w/ original 25w Greenbacks, and tons of floor/rack EFX, plus I play keys and bass and tweak every sound in all my keyboards...Noone I know will spend more time tweaking things than me.
Maybe you should consider a poll a device to draw out subjective replies from people who paid good $ for this product(mine's not crack - is yours?!?) and spend less time making derogatory remarks - especially when there's no way you can KNOW what you spoke of. On to bigger and better things - Shep

....you are soo right. my apologies if i should have hurt your ego. you are right, how could i refer to someone i don´t even know. i was refering to that list of equipment...the only thing i am curious about is how much would all of you be willing to pay for new amp models, so that the guys from NI can calcutate if its worth the effort...language problems probably got in the way...I accept beeing called a fool on the hill.Nice view from up here... But in return i expect you to answer in german, so i can really get your point...
    grettings....
