So it looks like the CDJ-2000 is officially discontinued according to a few sources and the CDJ-2000 Nexus will be released in April.

TSP2.5 with sample decks and CDJ2000nexus HID support off the bat?

It would be pretty sweet if there was advanced hid support for the cdj2000 nexus. It might give me reason to continue using traktor.

Conspiracy nut inside me says NI will adopt Advanced HID straight off the bat with these as Serato paid money to be the sole Advanced HID software for the CDJ2000mk1s. Nexus mixer TSP certified Nexus CDJ2000 TSP certified.

Yeah, the name "CDJ-2000 Nexus" hints at more Traktor compatibility. Advanced HID finally? we shall see..

The main difference from Pioneer DJM-800 to "DJM-900 Nexus" was the inclusion of Traktor Scratch Pro certified audio interface.. so I wonder if they're going to use similar meaning for the word "Nexus" in the "CDJ-2000 Nexus" name..

Based on the "leaked" video Traktor Pro 2.5 should be out around the same timeframe.. interesting!

Any sign of NI introducing a sound card (Audio box) similar to that of Serato whereby 2 laptops can be plugged into the one sound card via USB and play B2b perfectly?

As if you need a reason to keep using traktor.... I'm coming round to the idea of sacking off CDJ's and sticking to my S4... the CDJ's are just very expensive controllers these days....As lovely as they are i just can't justify the price tag anymore ... wish i could have both but i've only got one kidneys left as it is..!

just out of curiosity: what are the other sources? this site doesn't exactly look trustworthy...

i speculate, too, that better interaction with traktor (such as advanced HID support) will be one of the major innovations (;)) of the next CDJ...

Just quoted from DJ Tech Tools but did some randomness google searching and found it interesting that a lot of posts have been deleted from the Pioneer forums regarding the new CDJs

Competition iS releasing new cdjs and pioneer will not fall behind. Same was said by pioneer before 2000 cdj s were released with pioneer tech support denying the new release.

Agreed, nothing better then bringing your s4 to a gig and putting it right ontop of the cdjs

What´s this "advanced HID support" good for?

Advanced HID in Pioneer CDJ2000 allows the software running on a computer (=Traktor) to get precise and low latency control information from the CDJ, so things like jog wheel can be made to respond well for scratching etc. There's no need to use timecode because CDJ is sending all the control events using the HID protocol to the computer. Also Advanced HID allows the computer software to control the display of CDJ, so track information, bpm, cover art, track browser etc can be displayed on the CDJ display.

So in short you can "fully integrate" CDJ2000 and the DJ software. Currently Traktor does NOT support Pioneer Advanced HID.

Serato and VirtualDJ support Pioneer Advanced HID, see youtube videos for examples.

    Hopefully that helps.

Very much so, thanks for explaining! So the CDjs are connected directly to the computers via usb I take it...

sounds pretty handy, if I´d just not love the vinyl control so much, I might even use this :)

Almost May now.. so I guess this wasn't real news.

Something like this mockup would be really nice though (from djtechtools forums):
