    Ok this sucks.

NI are all at NAMM music fest and the rest of us are struggling with real world problems.

I changed my CPU and motherboard and now cannot re-activate my Komplete4. When i visit my profile on this site, it tells me i have no registrations! WTF?

I assume i have to deregister my current machine ID as the new ID will be different and this is possibly why my activation is not working BUT how can i de-register if i have no active registrations on this SITE!

i actually brought my studio computer to work to desperatly use the internet connection here because i thought there was a conflict somewhere transfering activation files to internet connected computers - so i just lugged the whole PC here to connect direct - NO JOY!

Service centre, now that my Studio PC is online, is telling me there is a conflict and the serial number is already in use by another user.......;-(

i think,,,,, i had a previous email and loggin, and when those details were forgotten by me and i was re-issued new account details by NI, some moron forgot to port over my registered products to my new account. So now, while they're all drinking beer at Nammfest and looking at the new, stupid light controlled poly synths, i'm losing clients because i cant create new projects or edit old ones. To make it worse, i cant even use my valid serial number to re-register and re-activate my old product because it is already in use...... BY ME!

It's quite simple actually. I just need to go to pirate bay and download a crack so that i can use my legitimate software.....

My ticket number is: 2009032810003155 (if any one cares)

Yes, that's right, i did send a help request and it was on the 28th of last month and it was probably request 10 million 3 thousand 1 hundred and fifty five. The other 10 million people are also probably still waiting for answers to their support requests.

God i wish i could sell this stupid software and buy reason or something. The real tradgedy is that the software actually rocks and is superb quality.

Moral of the story: dont ever change your hardware setup. Dont ever change your email address/forget your NI login details. Dont ever send support requests while the company in question are cutting deals with KORG to create a new modular hybrid synth sampler based on water based paint colours infused with music and beer overtones...

    1) NAMM was in January. NI didn't attend the Messe, which is what was going on last week.
    2) Calling support's usually the quickest way to get things resolved.

I'll see if I can find out what's up.

hello -- i checked your account and i believe you are having this problem because you have originally registered your komplete 4 to another email address -- it seems that you have no products registered under the current email address you are using in our system

i have just now sent another response to you through our ticket system, please respond to me and ill help you sort this out

Thank you EW, thank you John (i have sent you a mail)

I'm not normally one to scream and shout. Probably cos nothing ever goes wrong with my Studio stuff.

I did originally activate my KOMPLETE 4 with a different email address but had it changed when i forgot the details. i'm still not sure why my active product was not ported over to the new account. I assumed it was just a login detail change but it seems it was a whole new account creation!

just a little frustrated as we know what the problem is and now wait for implementation of the solution.

I guess the frustration for me is that i pretty much knew what the problem was. Determining that has been a no brainer but it has taken so much time to reach the point where you guys can tell me what i already know!

it's probably not as simple as just issuing a new serial.... there's probably a bunch of legal admin and technical wizardry:S

okay just to close off this thread for knowledge database purposes:

NI eventually issued me with my third user account and ported over my registered product to this new account. This is perhaps something that should have been done when i was issued with my 2nd account but, and mistakes do happen, it was not.

Thanks to the guys at NI (EW and John) for the help.

The moral of the story: if you forget your user name or password, and a new one is re-issued to you, PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU REQUEST THAT YOUR PRODUCTS ARE CARRIED OVER TO THE "NEW" ACCOUNT.

This is something that should be done automatically but perhaps isn't. I thought i was just changing details on an existing account but it was a whole new account creation. Maybe it doesn't always happen like that?

Problem solved - you guys can close this thread or whatever you do.

    Thanks again, Brendan.
