Hello, i just got a Numark total control and traktor pro because i was very interested in mixing and want to get deeper into it but i need some pointers on mixing to start me off. I'm aiming to be able to mix drum and bass and dubstep genre tracks soon so any tips will help alot.

My advice is to scour the internet for helpful vids like on youtube.com or djtutor.com

Learn to do research on your question or problem before asking it, as it will help you in the long run, and research your equipment before you buy it.

Over a year a go I wanted to get into DJing as a hobby and was interested in the total control. Well after doing research that spanned weeks I came to find the problems associated with it and other better controllers I ended up with the Hercules RMX and couldn't be happier.

I guess it all depends on your preferences. I've been using my Total Control with Traktor Pro for at least 3 months now (though I only started 3 months ago) and I've had no problems with the setup so far.

All I can really tell you is that Trial & Error can be a better friend than you expect.

practice practice practice. find your own style and flow, originality is the key to success... in most cases anyways.

    That name of yours

Using that particular name carries alot of weight with it. NO MATER HOW YOU SPELL IT. I hope you will be able to stick with it and uphold the name. If you are a quitter or really not into this CHANGE NAMES NOW. Alot of people are gonna barrage you with this. Just getting it out of the way early so you can fry bigger fish. Have fun and stay focused. NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE.

This is why I like my name. It's universal and implies nothing. lol

Yeah it is, i'm not knocking it, but I wanted something that had a more professional feel and look to it, and one of higher build quality, thats all.
