Will NI bring a driver update for the today coming mountain lion?
I've read that the Audio8 Interface has been killed off, but i hope they will update the driver?

They beta drivers work on Mountain Lion.

Only problem I have is when my laptop is pulled from sleep and the speakers are still on I hear a large pop sound. I never had that before.

that happends with all audio equipment that receives an electrical discharge everytime they are powered on/off. you should never turn off/on equipement with your speakers on.

speakers are the last element to turn on when you are powering your setup and should be the first element to turn off when you are done using them. simple last ones on, first ones off, and then all the rest (pa, eq, etc..) in the same order. first you should power up your computer, then the mixer (if any) then the, eqs, compressors, etc (if any), then the PA (if any) and then the speakers (if they are active monitors, if not, PA should be the last element). And then to turn it off is the same backwards, first speakers or PA and then all the rest from the spekaers to your computer or audio source.

these are basic rules of power management that avoid damage of your equipment by electrical discharges.
