Just seen this on Instagram
This seems promising!
maybe NI is adding a PayPal feature to the hardware
You think there are some "big" features incoming?
"Hey Berlin"? So they are recruiting beta testers from Berlin exclusively to test/interview in the office? Never heard of such... I hope this doesn't mean new hardware, that's the only reason I can think of to justify bringing people in.
Reading thru the Instagram comments is funny tho.
What's wrong with the current beta testers?
They are all ugly.
Thats a good point.
Maybe the Studio MK3?
I hope software is what's coming. They need to slow down on the Hardware tip. Its just a cash grab at this point.
And they smell.
Until I saw this post I was confident a new flagship wasn't coming out anytime soon, now it looks like a possibility, perhaps to test drive a prototype(?), then again the leak risk would be insanely high. There's so much untapped potential with the current models... another one coming out without a major software update seems just plain stupid. I dont use the cashgrab card since I prefer the Mk3 over the Studio so it's release didn't bother me, but if another one is released soon... i might use that card too.
The only hardware for Maschine that could use an upgrade is the Jam IMO (assuming NI hasn't completely abandoned it) but boy would it piss off Jam owners who never got what they were promised.
I can't see an upgrade to Jam being that feasible without a huge software improvement. Whilst some of the failings with the current controllers are due to design considerations they pale into insignificance to the major software shortcomings whose main salient feature nowadays seems to be p-ing people off which is something some would say is hard to utilise in your advertising.....................................
I don't know what the new standalone device from NI will be called.
But I think that this Linux-based 'studio' with ARM processor might become a success.
LOL I take it this is a legitimate René announcement
NI wont even use the mk3 interface.
finally! song layer here we come!
Is 1.8 running on MK4?
Based on the image description, I think it is about Maschine 3 software.
This is the Maschine standalone, for sure.
But it's so damn silly. So much untapped potential and unfulfilled promises (Jam and mk3). And no major software release on the horizon...
That does not matter until NI plans to implement olfactory perception in their hardware
