    They test whether the sending of DC signals is going well.
    This must of course be implanted in the Maschine software.
    Now the audio interfaces from NI support this.

    :D i know, did not express myself correctly. i meant the fact that they are bringing people in (instead of using the beta testers), makes me think that this is about new hardware. And my guess is that this is going to be a Maschine standalone.

    check the meaning of "Native" in the NI brand name, then you may get why a standalone maschine is quite a non sense.

    new features for maschine ??, that could be anything except automation, audio track, pdc or song mode.

    Every beta tester will be sweating with excitement if it's song layer.
    They likely want to see how people interact with them and see if the UX is intuitive and fast.

    Jokes aside this might be the serious guess that makes more sense so far.
    Testing some kind of CV module for Maschine that takes advantage of the new DC thing of the KA6 would require the testers physically go to the office. (Since they need both the unreleased interface + CV HW + beta SW)

    I wouldn't go sherlock holmes and over analyze the picture, it's probably a random pic for illustration purposes, actually, I am pretty sure it's a pic from Superbooth.
