new features are great and I think we all have the same thing in mind- if a little differently judged by what would be successful-

our common goal is to keep our investment ticking along nice enough so not to have to shell out again on something else- NO DOUBT NI will take care of it while keeping costs down for the user and margins up for the guys with the brains - hell, they need to eat too hahahahaa..

hopefully any new additions are never at the cost of stability - i love this thing cuz of its stability and would hate to lose that...

i think more instruments WOULD BE ACE! and maybe samples OF which I believe are inbound anyway....

The main things Id like to see implemented are:

    1. Sample Layering, say up to 4 velocity switched samples per pad.
    2. Sidechain on the compressor effect
    3. More virtual groups to help enable easy switching between songs in live sets.
    4. Drum Synthesis. Computers are getting powerful and can handle the overhead of synthesizing drum hits on the fly. It would be cool to be able to playback and tweak real Virtual Analog drums within the maschine environment. It would stop me shelling out £1000 for an Elektron Machinedrum :D

Turns out this can already be done) so I'll have VST hosting in maschine instead :D

A couple of additions for the macro knobs.

    1. Ability to assign more than one parameter to a single macro knob. Twist 1 knob and you open up a reverb amount and a bit crusher with one movement for example. Or reverse a sample and move its start point at the same time.

    2. Ability to name macro knobs as you see fit so rather than macro knob 3 (which is assigned to a snare sounds reverb mix) being "Mix" You can name it "Hard Snare Reverb"

I really want 8 master macro knobs. 8 for each group does not make any sense to me. I don't want to have to go 8 different places for macros. also +1 for the multi parameters and naming of the macros.

I agree. Having macros at the master level would make more sense for live mixing then you would have level, pan and macros all in one place for mixing things in and out and live sound mashing.
