is there a new hirarchy of the Traktor products ?

until Pro Traktor 3.4 was the Flagship that could do everything (customisable UI, Scratch Support if TS was installed, 4Decks, etc) and TS was the little brother with its 2 decks, fixed UI and so on...

With Pro this is arranged in another Way... Now Traktor Scratch Pro is the new Head of the Family (same UI like Traktor Pro but with scratch support) and Traktor Pro became the little brother (same Software like TSP, but WITHOUT Scratch Support)

I think you get the Upgrade to TSP for free if you own T3 & TS cause these Programs are put together to one product (4decks, customisable UI from Traktor and Scratch from TS) and you have to pay if you are TS User cause you get the new features like 4 decks etc...

    am I right ?

yes, as the TSPro package includes hardware, cables, control media.

The Traktor Pro product is simply software.

Yeah there isn't a 2 deck only basic version anymore. Traktor Pro and Scratch Pro both can run 2 deck views but neither is locked to 2 decks.

    Just to clarify again...

Traktor Scratch Pro = Timecode support
Traktor Pro = No timecode support

That is the difference between the two products now.

So do we have the option of using a midi controller (aka Xone 4d) as well as turntables to control TSPro? (not at the same time of course...)

    really ? that sucks...
well i love to play with Vinyl, but I also love to play "Internal" with my Midi-Controller only... Thats a reason why I bought Traktor and Trakor Scratch...

    @ Hazett

I posted an answer right after that, Traktor Scratch Pro has an internal mixer mode as well.

Let me state this again so everyone understands.

Traktor Scratch Pro and Pro are the SAME application.

The ONLY difference between the two is Traktor Pro does not support timecode control.

    Otherwise the features are identical.

Traktor Pro is focused on Controller or Laptop control.
Traktor Scratch Pro is focused on Turntable or CD Deck control.

    Does that clear things up?

So with TS Pro I can use 2 decks with control CDs and the other 2 controlled by the internal mixer (with possibility of sync function) at the same time?

I hope so. I want to control two decks with my VCI-100 and one deck with a Technics 1200.

Ok cool. I don't even own a turntable at the moment so haven't explored all the options currently available. Sorry to ask a redundant question.

Am I able to use MIDI and CD controls at the same time to control both decks in Traktor Scratch (current version)?

    Thanks

Not unless you are going to sell them your upgrade too... And since it is Scratch you would have to sell your A8 and rekkids and cables etc too.

When you Transfer ownership of the product it needs to be the whole product and not just the bits you think you don't need. ;) Upgrade licenses must also retain the license dependecies too.
