    Hi,I have bought a I-Axe 393 guitar.

Al i get is big noise and some guitar sounds. But they drown in the noise
I folowed the intructions but the noise is still there very loud and annoying.
    I also tried the asio4all v2 software

    But no solution there

    Core2 duo 6750
    2 GB 667 mem
    G33 chipset
    onboard audio realtek

The system is brand new with all the latest drivers
Windows XP SP2 with all updates.

    Any Ideas ?

You need to better describe the noise or post a clip for me to hear.

The noise contains crackling static noises. Like a bad fm receiver.
And the noise pulses depending on what effect i have chosen in the program.

The more volume I select the worse it gets.

I tried to make a recording but that was very soft. so you couldn't hear much. including guitar sounds.

What's you latency buffer set to in Audio/MIDI settings and/or ASIO4ALL?
My guess is that it's way too low. Start with 7-9 ms and see what that does.

Okay I will try tonight when I'm home. Is this a common problem ?

Yeah, if the latency is too low, the computer can't keep up and it cracks, pops and sputters.

I tried to adjust the latency but it doesn't change anything.

I also installed the guitar on my second system. With the drivers from windows. there it was terrible. The vu meter was half way without touching the guitar.

I have made some screenshots of the interface with some adjustments.

Will this help ? and can i mail this to you ?

Try a new USB cable, or get the guitar serviced.

    to give an update:

I returned the Iaxe and bought me a Les paul Custom ebony guitar :)

Now I'm thinking about a pocket pod or guitar rig.

Sorry you had so much trouble. I use the iaxe 393 and also the newer 629 Metalien. they both work great with GR. I had a similiar sounding problem but it ended up being a bad usb cable. I think the ones they provide are pretty cheap and not shielded so they tend to pick up noise. I actually picked up a radio station with this bad cable...
