    Hi there, I have one....

I own Kore 2 and Komplete 5 and would like to know is this Essential bass soundpack contained in there already?

    Thanks

I mean can the sounds from this soundpack be found in a Komplete 5 library?

    kore 2.1 required?

Does the Essential Bass instrument run with kore 2.0.4, or is 2.1 required?

    @NitroDublin: as I see it, it's not included in Komplete 5 -
a new sampled upright, the Scarbee Red Bass, new Spark Bass sounds,
all sounds also don't depend on one plugin only, but instead are Multisounds
(using Guitar Rig or the Kore FX/Modules).
There might be a little overlap with some samples with the sampled analog devices though, but even those are enhanced with additional modules.

Two things I'd like to mention for improvement:

-I didn't like, that all sounds came in one pack - all mixed up with the different
plugins - so I sorted the sounds into subfolders: Electric Bass, Reaktor Spark, Synth Basses (Abs, Massive and FM8), Upright and Vintage (sampled analog) -
    does more sense to me.

-The Spark sounds come with the inital version of Reaktor spark - with some presets you get some noises, then morphing through the sound variations.
Don't know, why NI didn't include the 1.01 update of Spark to this soundset (which has improvements with some smoothing to diverse parameters like drive etc.)
Since I also have the Reaktor Spark soundpack, I replaced the version in this soundpack with the newer version, but imho this should be provided as an update to this soundpack.

    Cheers

I can't get essential bass to work

I get a message telling me to install Kore Player or Kore 2 first. I've done this many times and nothing works. I've made sure to install to program x86 and even downloaded sounds successfully since. Please help

A question regarding this soundpack: The upright bass pictured on the Essential Bass product page is shown with a bow beside it, but I can't find any info that mentions if there is a bowed bass included. Are all the upright patches finger played, or is there indeed a bowed patch included?

This sound pack is surprisingly good. Very well rounded package and some fantastic deep sub basses. The processing is done tastefully. The demo on the site does not do it justice but the low frequencies are well defined. This plus one or two Scarbee electric basses and your set. For hip hop urban type music it really gives you several usable patches. The red slap bass is great too.

    Hi
I have purchased Essential Bass and use it on GM bass tracks generated by Band In A Box. I have found that certain instrument selections do not play all the notes - the lower notes just don't respond. As a newbie to Kore and Essental Bass what am I doing wrong? - is the instrument selection incorrect for the MIDI track or do I have to get the mapping sorted out? (the Ess Bass manual addresses mapping but makes no sense to me!). I use Cubase 5 Essential as the DAW.

    Hi,
with the sampled electric basses you can play down to a B. It wasn't
sampled lower than that and event the B is a pitch shift from a bass E.
