Yeah, I've had to go through that before with updates. TBF, they highlight under system requirements that you need 4.1.3

Sorry, reaper here. I'm not sure that I've noticed any obvious timing issues but it's been tough to get a beat to "groove" because GD's grooves are hard to match.

which one one are you talking about and maybe I can test it here.

Now there's a good question... I support your request and that would be a worthy upgrade to expend erffort on.

it seems like a lot of effort in pro tools 8 compared to wat i see the guy in the video doing
so im not sure if the timing is off or what ive tried to quantize etc

but if i drag and drop it --then its ok
ive always hated pro tools midi neway
but dang so far to much work

Is this what you suggest in order to be able to make the Duke work?

    1. Remove (uninstall) the George Duke instrument
    2. Upgrade Komplete to the latest version
    3. Install George Duke

What's the correct way to uninstall Duke?

    Helge

I think I know what you mean dlrange now. Yeah, it does not sync really well that way and indeed the midi clip generally cleans it up proper.

Why is it many of these grooves gives me a noticeable digital "click" from the first sample to the second? It's irritating!

Is there any script that can be used it Kontakt that looks like this libraries interface and has similar features, but you can load your own samples and slice them? Has any scripting genius figured out a way to do this? Does Machine have that on the fly re-pitching feature?

Also does this library allow you to add, remove, or move slice points for the source content in the scripted interface?

@Dippy - time stretching is pretty bad in this library.

@DR - negative, on all your questions.

I have run into the same situation. It seems that this library wasn't as meticulously sliced as others. Or maybe it just isn't possible because of the musical style and continuous nature of the riffs? I'm going to have a look at the individual samples included with this library and see if there's some inherent limitation preventing more accurate slicing. For the mean time, I find that the attack parameter is useful in decreasing the annoying clicks.

I keep getting the message that I can't load the patch because it was created by a newer version of the application. I've updated to Kontakt 4.1.3 several times now (because Service Center keeps telling me that the download for the update is available - I'm done with that update...sick of installing the same update hoping that will resolve that issue). I get the error about the patches not being loadable in Kontakt in stand alone mode as well as using it as a VST in Cubase.

I tried loading it in Kontakt 3 and got the message that the patch was corrupt.

I tried deleting and re-installing the George Duke Soul Expressions library twice now. No luck.

Kontakt tells me that the version I'm running is 4.1.3 so I'm pretty sure I'm in the current version.

Can anyone help me out with this? Any suggestions?

OK, I just checked again and the update to Kontakt 4.1.3 from 4.1.1 isn't working...I was mistaken. Apparently that's the issue. I'll search for a solution to that.

Sorry for any inconvenience but if you have a suggestion for this issue, please let me know.

If you have moved the Kontakt app outside the Native Instruments Folder where it was originally installed the update will not take place...
