I am wondering if this is possible and could it be included into the upcoming patches. Now, I know that Maschine works great with its controllers. I do own Komplete Keyboard and Maschine Studio which is connected to my main home desktop computer. But My wife and I do like to travel and we do tend to bring our Lab tops along with us which I have Maschine and Komplete 10 loaded on my Lab top. I have been using Maschine for some time and really enjoy it and liking the patch work that is being done to the software. When we do travel I don't bring my studio and/or keyboard along with me and I do know that there is a Keyboard function in Maschine or Piano function, however you guys call it. But is it possible to make that keyboard horizontal instead of vertical and have it be able to be open in a another window within maschine? I know other software that is in Komplete has this and it is userful. Also would it be possible to do recordings as well for that keyboard and make also a Keypad (16 pad block) that opens in another window in maschine and can the sounds being clicked on be recorded as well. Again I know as of right now that Maschine works best with the controllers but for those that do travel and don't like to carry extra luggage around with them, making this possible would be great for pass time moments. But if this is already possible then please share if it is something that I don't know. Thank You.

Good question.......there's the Mikro but I dont know of anything like what your asking..... :(

but it'd be kinda cool if there was an ipad version of the Maschine controller, I mean there's no offical one but other MIDI apps do work just google it. Might be a cheap alternative for you.

In addition to what @sashatronic mentioned regarding MIDI apps, I would recommend something like the Keith McMillen K Board, Korg NanoKey, MikroKey25, Akai LPK25, etc. I have a KM QuNexus and it's approximately the same width as my Machine MK2. I could carry it in my back pocket if necessary.

You might also want to look into midiStroke (for Mac) or equivalent, which allows you to convert key strokes to MIDI messages, effectively playing notes on your laptop keyboard.

I use a teenage engineering OP1 as my portable midi keyboard, but when even that is too much, I use this software midikeys that turns the computer keyboard into a midi keyboard. Very useful.
