Hi folks. Im new to Kontakt...I just purchased Session Strings 2. Im trying to get it to read a midi file in my DAW, Waveform 11.

I can use a midi controller to create a signal but when I play the project I get nothing from Session Strings. I have gone through the settings but I did not see anything to import a midi file into Kontakt....I assumed it would just read what I have loaded in the track.

Any help is greatly appreciated! Thank you.

I figured it out....the midi clips I were trying to play were not set to midi channel 1....never had this issue with any vsti before, but apparently Session Strings is set to only play that channel. Thanks folks.

To explain, Kontakt allows you to load multiple instruments per instance (a rack so to speak) and by default assigns Channel 1 to the first instrument, 2 to the second instrument and so on as they are loaded. You can change the midi channel that the instrument receives on in the instrument header. If you click the "i" icon next to the camera icon, at the bottom left of the header you can choose the midi channel (1 thru 16 or "omni")
