NI was speaking all this time how maschine is half hardware-half software.
We old user paid for software already, so it is logical that we get crossgrade for new hardware, and they leave us old hardware so we can sell it:cool:
They will make some more money before maschine 2 comes out, We will sell old controller and buy new one almost for free, and somebody that buys used maschine from us will be happy because its cheap and gr8 product!

I don't follow the logic. How will someone be happy buying a controller with no software from us for cheap, whilst at the same time making us happy for getting the new one for nearly free, and make NI happy by making them a decent profit?

Forget trying to find the logic in whether or not someone will like the old hardware lol, honestly it comes down to whether or not ni can make a decent profit in my opinion.

If they have already been mass producing these controllers for the drop on oct 1st why not hook up existing users with mk2 controller only deals and make a little money? It makes no sense for an existing user to drop another $700 on that package when the only difference in hardware is the light assign and jog wheel.

Its whatever though if they offer the crossgrade great, if not i still got my mk1 plus the 1.8 update and massive.

Thanks for the insult, but we let's think this through; why would he get software too?

As in, why would NI give a customer with a personal license for Maschine, another personal license for Maschine, when the customer only needs the new hardware?

If NI gave extra licenses away too, I could get a complete version of Maschine MKII from NI for a discount, keep my MKI, and then sell the MKII on eBay for a profit. Counterproductive for NI.

Previous hardware upgrade prices NI have offered to their customers, such as the Audio 10 upgrade for Traktor owners, have not given them extra licenses they don't need.

@loscolorados please watch the insults and hostility. We are still waiting for clarification on controller pricing for existing owners. It's a good discussion but there is already a thread open regarding this.
