All I know is Battery has vintage mode so I'm thinking about what someone said about NI sharing features across the board was a bad idea. I hope in the near near future we get VSTi/AU support Time stretching and midi out. Also something simuller to automap would be wonderful. If they took one think from the MPC I wish they would have put a JOG WHEEL on the hardware. Maybe for 2.0 they could do that also. My Launchpad and Live would not be a necessity if Maschine did a little more in standalone.

no disrespect but please no jogwheel. i can't stand using that thing to turn forever. me and my partner in crime was just talking about spinning that jogwheel as fast as we can to speed the process of trimming samples. haha

man if I worked at NI in the Update Dept. for Maschine I'd be working overtime w/o pay to get the features I wanted...if I was qualified of course. My guessing is that the same people who update traktor scratch pro, kontakt player etc are the same people who update maschine (I could be wrong). I think it should be the other way around.

A lot goes into their updates, as is the case with any software. I'd rather them take their time and make it stable, they've been doing good this far I don't expect that to change.

I would say just keep asking for the features you would most like to see in maschine (using the proper forum space to do so) and Native instruments will work to make it right. 1.5.1 might not have seemed like a big deal to alot of people but to those of use who use maschine in critical situtations (live shows, and in proper studio sessions) it has been a VERY big deal. sometimes updates that are not "feature" updates are just as important.
don't get me twisted I am still waiting for alot of great features myself (ahem Timestretch) but I know they are working their butts off to make maschine the leader. so i will be patient.

is it true that the update has added the feature of having patterns of different lengths
    now?

We can't say what's in new updates until the new features are announced by Thomas in the status thread.

sorry let me clarify, in the last update the 1.5.1 update, it seems like patterns can have their own lengths and looping, like one pattern 8 bars, the next pattern 4 bars

before if i'm not mistaken when you tried to loop that it would only loop the longest pattern right, but now it's looping each pattern individually?...........or am I mistaken about that?
