Solved New Massive update fails to activate in NA

    I just updated Massive (not X) and Native Access failed to activate it because apparently I'm missing a base product...

    It has been working perfectly since I purchased Komplete 9 a long time ago ago and I currently own Komplete 13, a KK MK2 keyboard and Maschine MK3 + JAM, so I'm quite sure I'm not missing any base product.

    Any advice on how to fix this is very welcome.

    Also, someone at NI still lives in 2020 :D

    I tried those steps, but no change.

    I did find a download link in my account on the NI website to Massive 1.5.1 and after downgrading it showed as full version again in NA. After updating again to 1.5.8 it's back in DEMO mode.

    So I filled out the support form and will see what happens. Thanks for the links Jeremy! :)

    I hope this gets resolved soon because Massive is used in a lot of Maschine kits.
    I've tried about anything I can think of, including using the NI reg tool to completely remove all traces of Massive from the Windows registry and then re-install. It shows up with a serial number tied to Komplete 10 in NA, but it will not activate. All my other NI products are fine.

    I got the green "Installed" checkmark in the updates window of Native Access but I got an orange error message in the "Installed" window, something about missing the 32-bit Massive plugin. I selected "Install" instead of "Repair" and it seemed to complete the update (at least in Native Access). When I started my DAW (Reaper6), it scanned Massive.dll and loaded my templates with Massive with the presets I had set. When I opened the stand-alone, It started with a different preset---just the first one in the dropdown list. Things were sluggish and unstable the first time I opened each version (although the Browser Tab seems to work faster/better---even though the somewhat irritating propensity to have the view of every NI Expansion expanded to its folders). I heard a lot of hard drive activity so I just left each version open for a while thinking that there might be a bunch of first-start operations being taken care of and, my imagination or not, everything seems to be running normally on subsequent starts. I hope! Old dog or not, Massive still has lot of bite and I love its tricks, not to mention the investments made in feeding the beast with expansions.

    Seems there was a serial conflict in my account, it's all sorted out now :)

    I guess I own too many products that include Massive :p

    Out of curiosity, how long did it take for them to respond to you about the serial conflict? I'm having the same issue, and they haven't even acknowledged my ticket request.
