    Version 1.22 is up.

It includes a fix for a fairly serious batch crash (sorry about that one), improved behaviour for Serato libraries on secondary Mac volumes, and some UI bugs. Also, Mac localisations now obey the Language settings as opposed to Region.

    Version 1.23 is up.

It includes the option to filter batch jobs by file extension, which has been requested a few times. It also fixes a few tagging bugs.

    Enjoy.

I've tried versions 1.23 and 1.22 for Windows, both crash shortly after the GUI comes up, whether I try and do something or not.

    1.20 also crashes.

    New version 1.24 is up

It fixes a tagging crash on WAV files, adds a load of tests for tagging so fewer issues should appear in future, and includes some new localisations.

    Enjoy!
    ---
Can you send me a crash report or any other detail? Not much I can do right now.

    Hi ibsh
Just to mention that last version 1.25 crash on startup with 10.6.8 Snow Leopard. Maybe you made an update on minimal requirements
Had to go back to 1.24 for now.

PS: I love your software and use it every week :)

Yeah, I might have; sorry. You're not missing much by using 1.24 I think, but I'll look into the min reqs nonetheless. Thanks.

I don't know if any Traktor users still use KeyFinder, but if so, maybe you'd like to help me improve it? I want to get started on version 2 of the detection algorithm, but I need a good database of songs, which is where you come in....

ibsh -- first and foremost I just wanted to say a massive thanks for making this software, and more importantly keeping it free. I've just returned to my turntables after an 8 year hiatus and currently using Kontrol Z2 with my beloved 1210s so the idea of harmonic mixing is new to me. I'm sure it'll certainly help up my game as before I relied on my ears alone.

Secondly, I just wondered if you could recommend the ideal way to tag and import my tracks, what is the ideal workflow for this process. Having had a look at your software over the past couple of nights (my time is limited, I don't have too much 'play' so want to do as much 'doing' as possible)

I've followed the below process, but not sure if it's the correct way.
    From scratch:

    - Import music into iTunes playlist
    - Run that playlist through KeyFinder, adding the key to the prefix of the comments
    - Open Traktor and from the iTunes playlist in tractor 'import collection'
    - Analyse tracks in Traktor for BPM and their key detection

This seems to be working okay for me, and granted most of my problems are probably Traktor related, but a few things I have found along the way are:

    - Not all of the tracks generate a Key. This seems to be on really old music where the filename is standalone, e.g., there's no artist or track name data, just a filename. Is this synonymous with your findings?
    - When importing the music in Traktor the BPM doesn't show after the analysis, nor does the key.
    - Traktor seems to import my whole music collection rather than the playlist I've suggested, e.g., I add a playlist in iTunes, detect Key in KeyFinder, launch Traktor and 'import collection' but when I next launch Traktor it then imports all the music on my laptop. I don't want Einaudi in Tractor, just my deep house ;-) any idea why this is?

Appreciate some of these questions are Traktor related, but thought here was as good a place as any to ask.

    Thanks again for this product.

Hey Adam, sorry for the delayed response.
That is more or less what I do, although I do the KF bit before iTunes.
Not sure what you mean. KF will take a guess at any non-silent audio file. Maybe a screenshot would help.
Make sure (A) you're writing to the tags in KF (see the FAQ) and (B) you're using the Check Consistency function in Traktor, assuming that's still what it's called.
Nope, sorry =) I don't DJ much any more so I'm a bit out of touch with the latest versions of Traktor; I only use it once every couple of months.
