Just got GR3 today and was having a play with it this evening after installing it and then the latest update and new drivers, however, about an hour after id started noodling around on it my laptop switched off instantly as though there was a power-cut. Turned it back on and tried again but ~5mins after restarting it did it once more! I did a system restore to before i installed the update and it seemed to run just nicely but then about half an hour later the screen went black, lost all audio and couldnt do anything (ie, not even the power button worked!).

Any ideas whats going on? Im on a brand new laptop (1 week old toshiba) that easily meets the requirements given on the NI site, the CPU usage whilst running was about 20% on average if that matters and im on vista......which i hate and might uninstall for XP SP2 anyway soon!

Yeah I hear you on Vista. I wonder if your Vista install got corrupted. I'd try to uninstall/reinstall GR. If that doesn't work you may need to contact support. By the way your computer shouldn't be cutting off like that. Is that happening with other apps or just with GR?

Yup, just seems to be happening since having installed GR3 today, havent had it happen before in the short time ive had it so im putting it down to that somehow? Probably will get my mate to uninstall vista this week when hes got a couple hours off work and see if that helps :\

Just reinstalling GR3 again and running the update through service center once more. Forgot to mention, the first time i ran service center it took a few times to install the SC update before i could actually register, might have been my connection at the time but wasnt sure if it could have messed the drivers up at all?

ps, forgot to say...... REALLY impressed with the tones available in this thing, just had to sell my mesa express halfstack id been using because im moving in with my fiance and needed the cash for a new laptop for uni so this was what i decided to replace the amp with after lots of deliberation! Im happy to say it gets very very close to the tones i had set up on the mesa plus the tweed fender models are absolutely perfect and nearly worth the money itself imo! :D

They have a large database to draw from that I don't have any access to.

Cheers, it seems to be working atm with the reinstall, have yet to install the GR3 update (did the Kontrol one though) as it worked fine when i was playing around with it for an hour or so before i did that iirc.
