I'm usually one of the first people to post my dislike for all of the recent EDM/club expansions but I actually like this one. Plus, I've been holding on to a voucher and I better use it before the expiration date.

Just listened to the paradise rinse demo tracks, first thing I need to do is to calm the **** down.
This is exactly what I waited for, and I can't wait to try it out. Just downloaded the iMaschine version, but im definitely going to buy the full expansion as well

Scott Diaz is the don, quality producer. This will the first expansion I've bought, just never been convinced with all the others.

I think an Eastcoast Vinyl expansion is long overdue, we need producer kits like dj premier, rza, pete rock and q-tip. Also, include old school like vinyl samples to the kits to chop up. A neo soul expansion is also long overdue too, I get tired of seeing these club expansions, they all sound the same to me.

This last one is not your typical EDM vegas nightclub crap, its very well done. NI did this because if you go to another sample site uk bass/ deep house/ garage is the biggest seller for sure. I here you on the east coast thing and it will come, but money first for NI

I always buy the expansions on imaschine first to see how I like it. I enjoy watching the vids they make or the songs they create but until I can try it at least in a limited fashion I won't know if Inreally like it or not.

I understand that but you've got tons of people buying third party maschine expansions and vsts, like Dope Vst's beat machine, bass engine, and Drum Weapons 3 because NI won't bring the heat and make an eastcoast expansion. These vst aren't cheap either, NI could have easily capitalized big time had they came out with an eastcoast one already.

I hear ya, I'm mot sure who NI listens to on where they should go next on expansions it took them a long time to come out with a reggae one. Marble rims came out maybe because they have a office in LA.

That is a matter of personal taste. To be honest, I was disappointed with Circuit Halo. I like a few of the sounds and the LinnDrum samples, but overall it was a bit uninspiring.

Now Paradise Rinse has a lot of good stuff. No regrets with this one. I'm a little biased, as I've been in a bit of a deep house mood.

the demo's make it hard to decide as they represent someone's preferential usage of the sounds in a sequence........

from the description i expected something like chemlab or early NIN / WAX trax.. . .. i like 90's industrial... but circuit halo, from the demo, sounds like a cross between FSOL and depeche mode (WE HAVE EXPANSION/reach out and buy this), both of whom i liked back in the dark ages, that someone tried to semi-dubstep, which ruins the object of the demo to me. in fact many of the ones that sound like i would like them have demos that sound dub step-y and different from the description but ones that sound like i would not, like laser dice wound up being really good with bass and kicks... and the massive sounds... i had that feeling about this one.. don't care for the demo's but for some reason i think it might be really good...

grey forge was the phattest of phats... expected it to be more old school techno-ish but liked it anyway...

maybe i'll just go with the Caribbean dub sans the step one as the is the most unique recent one...

Man! I Sooo agree. They need a dope neo soul expansion! When they drop that, I might just jizz all over my maschine with excitement!

I plunked down 50 bones for Paradise Rinse because I love deep house, new UKG and club music of all kinds. I have a lot of the expansion packs thanks to the "9 for $99" sale they did a while back and a few impulse purchases. I'm kinda regretting Paradise Rinse (and have more regrets once I start mentally totaling up the amount of money I've given NI in the last year and a half, haha).

It's good and the kits/patterns are solid, but I have a few gripes. The drum synth kits aren't tagged as such, which is a bummer if you are a heavy drum synth kit person. There aren't any multisample instruments for some reason: there are 39 single note bass samples—mostly variations on 'rubbery deep house/UKG synth'—that could have made some nice multi samples to keep the note length in check for anything spanning more than an octave. There are tons of Massive presets, but they tread pretty similar ground that you can find in Massive's stock presets.

I'll probably use it quite a bit for those times when I know I want a deep house kit and don't want to tweak previous packs to sound deep housey-er, and the patterns will definitely save some time for when I need to dial in a swung hat pattern quickly or something like that. It's definitely serviceable, but it's not necessarily inspiring or super creative.
