I am currently running traktor scratch pro 2 with audio 8 dj on mid 2012 macbook pro with 10.8.2 and i am using the new drivers and everything works perfect, did a gig the other day for four hours and had no problems! Drivers confirmed working seamlessly!

NI cannot supply a windows driver as that is not the problem. There is a USB2 feature left out of the USB3 protocol that NI uses so USB3 is a problem. Microsoft have seen fit to put this feature into the USB3 implementation in Win 8. Win 8 users are reporting success.

So I upgraded to Win8, but still not perfect.
Traktor decks are running, no Blue Screen. But still I hear crackle sound in the background of spinning track, and also slight wiggle melody, in other words, if the melody should be
    "laaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa"
then it sounds for me like
    "laaaoaaooaaaaaaoaa"
Sth like in random time distorted melody.

I tried to adjust sample rate from 44100 to 96000.
I tried to increase decrease the latency, process buffer, usb buffer.
I tried to install older driver versions.

Still no success. If anyone can help, I would appreciate any help.

For the record - I'm using a 15" retina MBP with Traktor and it works fine with the Audio 10 interface but doesn't seem to like being plugged directly into the Pioneer DJM 900 - won't recognize any timecode signal

Traktor Pro 2.6 with Mountain Lion 10.8 (10.8.2) compatibility issue resolved/fixed?

I just recently purchased a mid-2009 MacBook Pro with OSX 10.8.2, Mountain Lion, 2.53 GHz, Intel Core 2 Duo, 4GB, and have been having issues with my Traktor Pro software with Kontrol S4. Such issues are lag in previewing tracks, sound quality, lag in loading tracks using the controller, freezing and visual blurring of wave form, and just overall slower processing than with my older MacBook that had 10.6.8.

I've tried looking for the Traktor S4 beta driver that was supposedly the fix from November 14, 2012, and found this thread with the Kext file/Wizard links, but the Kext file is no longer a valid link. Can anyone tell me if there is an actual Traktor driver fix (beta driver) for OSX 10.8.2 and if this issue with the incompatible USB 3.0 has ever been resolved fully?

I have been told (by other Traktor users) that my issues could be due to my Toshiba Canvio USB 3.0 1TB external hard drive that could cause a lag in processing my music files, as well as my preference settings in Traktor Pro 2.6 (which I will list all appropriate settings below).
However, my boyfriend who also uses Traktor Pro 2.6 with a Kontrol S4, and has a late 2010 MacBook Air running 10.7.5 Lion and happens to be a 1.86 GHz Core 2 Duo with 2 GB memory (which would be technically a slower system than mine) doesn't have any lag or latency, or sound issues, and also uses a Toshiba external 1TB (almost full, I might add of his library collection for Traktor).

Any thoughts on how I can get this resolved quickly, or anyone have the previous Kext File or Beta driver for 10.8 from the above thread so I can try this?

Oh yeah, and here are my pertinent preferences:
Audio Set up--Sample Rate 44100 Hz, Latency 448, Did NOT enable multicore support processor
Transport Settings--Key Lock is on Fast CPU, HighQuality and Normal Mode

    Mid-2009 13" MacBookPro OSX 10.8.2, 2.53 GHz, Intel Core 2 Duo, 4 GB, 250 GB
    Traktor Pro 2.6, Kontrol S4

The latest drivers on the website (not beta) have all the new fixes in them. Goto the support area of the website and download from there. The Kext fix is no longer required and the beta driver was released as a production version.

The 2009 Macbook does not have USB 3.0 ports so your problem is elsewhere.

You could try using a benchmark program to measure the speed of your external disk on both your Macbook and your boyfriend's to see if that is causing a bottleneck, also test his external disk on both of your laptops to compare.

I assume enabling Multicore did not help then? You should disable Keylock if you're trying to narrow down the cause of the slowdowns. Do you get the same issues when using your internal hard disk?

Is there any known fix yet?

I just bought a new MBP running OSX 10.9.1. I have the latest audio 8 drivers, but I'm still getting a degraded audio signal with crackling and popping. Please can someone help?

    Thanks

I have the same issue on MBPr 2013 late, running OSX 10.9.2, distorted crackling sound with audio 8 dj.

I've tried to swap IOUSBFamily.kext to an older version but as a result all USB ports have been freezed after startup, as well as trackpad and keyboard.
Can be the problem that i used 4.5.8 version of IOUSBFamily.kext? Because the uploaded one is no longer available i just browsed around the internet for one.

If someone have the correct kext that would be much appreciated to share with us please!!

    Thank you
