    Well, i don't..
English is not my native language, but increase the gain reduction seemed absurd to me.
With that logic every reducting parameter should go from left to right, cut, shelve everything...
Actually compressor should be ok with the same logic, too. It is applying its effect more from left to righ!..
But it is still wrong, because when it is top left the value is 0 db and top right -60 db!!

It is not "increasing the gain reduction effect", lets keep it simple: basicly it is "reducting gain"!
Lower values to the left, higher values to the right.. lets agree on that :)

I certainly agree with the sentiment of what you are saying. It also seems natural for me, in some situations, to have knobs where the sound is not effected at maximum anti-clockwise, and where the sound is fully effected at maximum clockwise. So in that respect I am ambivelent about this.

It is fixed, if increasing the fix amount means reducing the level of expected behaviors, yep, totally fixed... in reverse.

    Yes
Please open maschine, add reverb (or compressor) to a sound and see yourself!!
I didnt invent the behaviour, it is not only there for me!! (well i hope not, that would be schizophrenic :) )
