    Hi All

I just bought a new S2 and unpacked it the other day. Whilst 'stroking' it yesterday it felt as if the 2 jogwheels are a bit different when turning..ie one feels a bit stiffer and harder to move than the other which feels smooth. Can you please let me know if
the stiffness of the jogwheels can be changed? If not, is this normal at first on controllers and they will settle in over time..or is this a defect in which place i can still send it back.

New to the controller world so any info would be appreciated.

    Thanks
    Steve

Look for a sticky at the top of this part of the forum that explains how to remove and replace the top plate of the jog wheels. The instructions are for the S4 but it will be the same for the S2. Do this to the one that feels stiff. Then recalibrate your jogs.

Thanks Count Zero. Can you confirm that this problem of stiffness is one of the problems this solution could fix? The sticky just mentions 'problems'? Can you tell me what problems people are experiencing

I also noticed in the sticky that some people did not get any success in fixing their 'problem' this way and to be honest I am a little hesitant to start taking the hardware apart as I am still able to send it back to the seller.

I like the controller very much and would ask for another one if I sent it back but would really appreciate an insight on what problems can arise and can be solved using the sticky.

    Thanks in advance
    Steve

    Thanks

Yes that is definitely one of the issues however if you feel more comfortable returning the unit then I am not going to try and talk you out of it.

Traktor Kontrol S2 - Stiff jogwheel

i have new traktor kontrol s2. the right jogwheel slightly stiffer! 1 FX 2 light doesnt work aswell. dont really want send it back as the shop said be aprox 2 week and that they would fix it rather than replace if they can. i think this really naughty because if u pay for new you should not receive a repaired item.

is there a fix? is it worth it as it slight? would it void my warranty? pls anyone

    Hi rigsby

I sent mine back and they sent me a new one.

I don't think someone can sell you a defective product as new. I would insist they give you a replacement and not a repair either. There is a supposed fix for the jog wheel but the light should work. You should not have to fix something when it is new?

I think as soon as you start to take it apart then it could well void your warranty as they can claim you damaged it. I am guessing. but you will be in a very weaker position than by not messing around with it

Be strong! You did nothing wrong!

    Best of luck
