New s4/s5/s6?

    Hi guys,

    First post - be gentle.

    This topic may have been posted before so apologies if it has. Anyway, big fan of Traktor, after playing about on an S4/S2 and Pioneers DDJ T1 I've decided the S4 is the kit I want to upgrade to. (Currently on Traktor and basic mixer)

    I've got a feeling there may be an upgraded Kontrol controller on the market soon? I don't think Pioneer have anything better than the T1 as they've released the ERGO(wifi) but....

    .......has anybody heard of a new Kontrol unit coming out? I just don't want to get a new S4 and then a new controller out next month etc...

    Price drops usually are proceeded by new hardware...

    Really interested in this as well.. I sold my s4, got a t1... hated the t1, and now I'm returning it to get the s4 again.

    Something tells me I should wait.

    Oh, well... hopefully NI says something real soon!

    Is your 'feeling' that something will be announced soon backed up by any evidence?

    I need a controller for a party in 2 weeks time and was just about to buy a VCI400 (on the basis that the S4 was getting bad reviews for durability etc) but I also noticed the recent 'sale' and figured it would be followed by a new controller landing...

    Any details?

    I did have a feeling because of the recent drop in price that something may be announced soon.

    I haven't a problem with waiting either so think thats my best option as I don't really want to buy one then have to upgrade straight away.

    DjIxio,

    I had a play on the T1 and enjoyed it but the S4 definitely edged it. I supposed Pioneer won't be bringing out an improved T1(2) either due to the Ergo/Wego

    do you have a source? 'Cause I'm also very interested in these news :) A successor for the s2 / s4 would be great although these devices are gorgious!

    Just this second seen it! Exciting. Judging by the photo it looks like a controller vs F1, though you can't really tell.

    I just nearly bought an S4 as well but definitely going to wait.

    Right, so we now know.....it's a 2+2 channel mixer! Looks pretty cool, but I'm not in the market to purchase X1 or CDJ's.

    So I put the question to you again....do you think a new controller will be released soon? Or will they just stick with the S4 for a while?

    NI seems to make some modular systems now so I think that we (I am waiting too) can hope for a S1 type controller. Maybe for christmas?

    Is the S4 back to regular price now? If so, that seems indicative of a SALE rather than an attempt to sell backstock in preparation for a newer unit. For example, wasn't the new version of Maschine announced right after the sale?
