    Is there a way to trigger Spacedrone and other granular ad generator type modules with a midi keyboard?

    The synths I'm talking about are just ON all the time.

    Seems like there must be a way to trigger them.

    No, there isn't. They'll run as long as they're receiving clock. You can always wire in a key activated mute switch for the output if you wanted to...

    gaugear is very similar to skrewell in architechre, if that helps, as gaugear can be played via a MIDI keyboard. both synths have 8 oscillators that are modulating each other via AM and FM, with a delayline and filter inside. the biggest differance AFAIK is that skrewell has differant modes of operation, whereas gaugear is always just squarewaves with filter.
