Dammit, I should have looked closer.

There are three major issues with the Traktor Audio 2 MK2 and Traktor DJ that need resolving:
    • Metadata sync not working - I want to do track prep while commuting to work
    • Doesn't work without power adapter but it doesn't ship with one - I don't hold much hope of this getting resolved
    • No Lightning cable - I planned to use the iPad as a backup device if my Kontrol S4 MK1/laptop fails. I am not comfortable using it without a case. My next gig is in August, if they don't release a cable by then I will have to break out the Dremel.

I'm having a similar issue, when plugged in the audio 2 causes massive freezes and slow downs on both my ipad air and iphone 5s.

    I only got it today....

When I first used it on the ipad it worked flawlessly for at least two hours.

Later I went for another mix after my ipad had been charging and all the trouble began. It was then I tried it on the iphone and had the same issues.

I tried other apps and nothing worked and all including the home screens and all hardware buttons on iphone and ipad wouldn't work when the audio 2 was plugged in.

    An update to my probs:

I resolved it for short while. It didn’t last

I just did a complete restore of my ipad, here's the process I took:
    - plug iPad in to mac/pc
    - backup iPad
    - sync iPad
    - wipe back to factory settings
    - restore

Things worked perfectly after this… until I quit Traktor DJ unplugged the Audio 2 and later went to have another mix. This is what I did:

I turned off the iPad connected the Audio 2 and booted up the iPad… as per the instructions.

Then all probs were back… total slowdown and freezes of the ipad and esp traktor dj, the audio two flashed lights and did not activate the audio setup menu in Traktor DJ.

    Here the same problem...

Using an iPad with newest iOS (7.1.2) and am not able to get it run. It freezes , both lights on the Audio 2 MK2 are on and no sound through the interface.

Any help would really be appreciated - got my 30-pin adapter today and was looking forward so much to give it a try... :(

    A small addition:

In the settings I am missing the "Audi Setup" tab - it is just not there.

Tried the same now with an iPad 3 (to have a try without the 30-pin adapter) - the same problem... No sound and no "Audio Setup" tab...

There's some more info of others with similar problems in this thread: http://www.native-instruments.com/f...udio2-mkii-ipad-mini-retina-ios-7-1-1.223958/

To save you some time, here's my latest post in that thread.

I just got the following in an email from NI support, they acknowledged the problem is affecting other users. Lets hope Apple or NI can sort a permanent fix soon. Below is a temporary solution they offered:

    This problem only happens if:
    - you use a Lightning adapter
    - and use the Audio2 without power supply

Except using a PSU there is also one workaround that will make it work again.

    Please try this:
    - press the 'home' button twice, and then swipe all apps upwards to unload them
    - power off the iPad (long press on power button, then swipe to the right)
    - power on the iPad again
    - open Traktor DJ
    - only now connect the Audio2

It will now work, but as soon as you disconnect the A2 from the iOS device, you
need to repeat above steps to make it work again.
