    Good Day NI Team

I have noticed now 2nd time, after the 1st Beta release 3.4.1.240 of which i picked up 2 very very important things

in a previous reply to a post ( Can't recall which post i replied to ) but have mentioned these findings.

So regards to the above mentioned Beta version the 2 key findings were

#1 - Effects / EQ adjusts were very very very sensitive as you would slightly adjust any & it will either turn completely left or completely to the right.
#2 - Newly added tracks , which i use Mixed in Key to detect & write info from MIK to the files, those same files cannot be relocated after the info has been exported.

Now that the 2nd Beta version has been released, 3.4.1.245

Above mentioned #1 - that issue has been resolved.

Point #2 is still not working as i have just done the same process as i always do & Traktor still does not relocate the files.

I have re-installed the Release candidate & relocating the files processed from MIK works.

Not sure what changes has been made but this needs to be addressed.

I have posted my step by step method using mixed in key & have traktor read the new info processed from MIK.

I will look for that post if you require a bit of more clarity regarding my process.

Kind Regards & Thanks In Advance For Your Reply.

Thank You For Your Speedy Reply

I found the post, Here it is.....

    Quote
    " Basically what i do.......
NOTE - i have read up alot, had problems of my own but managed to resolve this with consistant evaluation.

    #1. - add the music into a folder ( eg. Hip-Hop )

#2. - Open Traktor, Drag & Drop the folder in traktor, wait until it's finished scanning the tracks, then i close Traktor.
NB!!!! I DO NOT Analyze my music just yet.....

#3. - Open Mixed in key, clear the library { i do this everytime with new scanning of tracks }, Drag & Drop same folder in MIK.
Waiting till it's done, i export the Cue Points & after done, colse MIK.

#4. Open Traktor & check the consistency of the tracks, BUT here's the twist......
    * If you find that the tracks cannot be relocated, Clear The library & Re-Add the same folder.
    * Close Traktor, Re-Open MIK, Do Not Analyze the current tracks you see, just Export them again. Close MIK.
    * Open Traktor Again & you should now see the Cue Points within the tracks.

#5. Now analyze the tracks, align the beatgrids, cue points, set loops where you'd like to, etc...... Then Lock all the tracks you just analyzed.

    DONE.

This has been so far, since i bought the software this year, the very best method i have come to use. "

    Good Day Again

I just installed the latest Release Candidate Version 3.4.1.254 & as mentioned in the above posts, the issue has not been resolved. Traktor still does not relocate the files that has been processed via Mixed In Key. I am reverting back to the working version 3.4.0.237 & will continue to monitor futher releases when this issue has been resolved.

    Regards

In #4 instead of check the consistency of the tracks, mark them and right click and press edit. Then just press ok.
See if this solve your problem

Thanks for your feedback, However i never do a consistency check, i only relocate the same files that are situated in the same location i always use. i have re-installed Version 3.4.0.237 of which my method works , just with the newer beta releases , i have encountered the above mentioned issue.

i will try your method tomorrow morning & see what happens.

    Regards

Hi Quade, can you explain, why you need to relocate the files in step #4?
    Does MIK change their filename?

So basically what happens is that MIK adds the key & bpm after the file name (which it re-writes the file name you see)

Then when opening traktor again, those same files will not be read as a result traktor sees the files as invalid or missing.

I then select all the files, relocate them which traktor locates the folder(s) it has last read & i select the root folder where all the sub folders & files are, trakror re-scans them, showing an exclamation next to them, when traktor has finished re-scanning the tracka, they wont have the exclamation mark anymore, resulting in those tracks being successfully relocated.

I will try my best to make a video recording to explain visually what i mean.

As i mentioned not sure what changes have been made for this method not to work anymore.

As i explained in this reply, traktor does not read the files at all in the previous beta version, as well as the new release candidate.

It is as if the tracks have been moved altho they are located in the same folder & has not moved which traktor keeps showing an exclamation mark next to them.

As indicated the most stable version i mentioned, my method still works, not with the new version.

    I understood what you observe.

The thing is, that I can not see Track Relocation being broken in general. So there must be something special in your procedure or settings.

How are your Settings for Preferences > File Management > Tag writing mode ?

And second question: what file types are showing this behavior ?

I cannot say what my preferences settings are set to in Traktor, i'll reply to this in the morning.

    Preferences Settings
File management/Tag Writing Mode - Write all tags to files (have never changed this)

    Analyze options
    Bpm detection /bpm range 68-135
Tick - set beatgrid when detecting bpm
Tick - store beatmarker as hotcue

These have been my settings since i bought traktor pro

All my tracks are 320kbps, All mp3.

I think this can be closed, found out the issue why traktor could not read the files after Mixed In Key Process.

Seems like Mixed In Key may have been reading the wrong collection l, but that is sorted out now.

    Thank you.
